This saved us during an 11-hour road trip for Thanksgiving! My 5-year-old daughter used it with her coloring books, to eat snacks, and to watch her Kindle Fire. I was worried that the drawing surface would be flimsy, but it isn't. She had no complaints (and she's 5, so she's usually full of complaints). It was easy to adjust to the right height, it was sturdy, and it stayed put for the whole trip.One tip: If you're going to be using this zipped up with a Kindle or iPad slipped into the clear outside cover, make sure you poke a hole somewhere in the side of the PVC so you can slip the headphone cable through. It says to do this in the product description, but I didn't notice until it was too late and we were already on the highway. My daughter tried watching a movie with the headphones sticking out of the top, but the cable was annoying her this way, so we ended up just unzipping, putting the lap desk back down, and standing her Kindle up on that. This worked fine until we stopped and I was able to poke a hole.The only negative I can think of (which doesn't warrant losing any stars because it's just my personal preference) is the colors. I prefer car accessories to be black or grey so they match the interior of the car and don't look so "kid-like." There are tons of backseat organizers in dark, neutral colors, but none of them had the exact design/features as this product. If I could've found a similar product in all black, I would've bought that instead.All-in-all, this product made our drive so much easier and I'm very happy I bought it. It is now on my list of road trip essentials!

I purchased this for my 8 year old son, for when we take road trips. He usually becomes very impatient and starts to bother his siblings which becomes a huge problem on those long rides. This organizer allows me to pack his favorite books, comics, coloring books, crayons and iPad to help keep him entertained. It seems very durable, though the carrying shoulder strap does not seem to durable. Emphasis on seems because I have not had it long and I could be wrong. It's great to strap on to the headrest so my son has an area to color, which is surprisingly sturdy for him to color and write while we are driving.1/19/17 I finally had a chance for my son to try it out. While I was attaching the headrest strap around the headrest I noticed that the strap is already becoming unstitched, the writing surface is great and sturdy but the straps do need to be reinforced for greater reliability when carrying or strapping to the headrest. I plan on re-doing the straps with a thicker sturdier strap and placing some more material on the inside to better be able to sew the strap to the organizer itself.

This review comes after a coast to coast drive across the US. This product has great potential, however it is lacking in a few areas, which really brings down the rating for me. The backseat organizer was useful and provided a space for the kids to play, eat, and do homework assignments. It kept everything, for the most part, fairly organized, which was nice. Like others have stated, the zipper really is cheap. It is very difficult to zip up and constantly gets hung up in both directions. The kids were very frustrated by this. The tab on the zipper also broke within 30 days of use. The handle used to attach the organizer to the backseat could use a little more reinforcement, or an entirely different design. In order to make sure it was at the correct height for my children I had to cinch it down quite a bit, which really pulled on the material, and ultimately the strap tore away from the organizer. I think this probably would have happened over time anyway, just because of the stress on the strap when attached to the seat. It pulls regardless of the amount of pressure. In order to use it again, I will have to sew the strap and find a way to reinforce it so it doesn't come apart again. After all, did it serve it's purpose? Yes. However, I would've liked to see this as more of a long term accessory to our road trip adventures. Overall, I love the idea, I like the product, I just wish it was a little more durable.

What a neat little invention. My daughter loves to draw so this was a must have for the road. It’s easy to install, it fits well in the back seat, and has great stability to draw and write on. She can also store other things in it making it really versatile. The zippers do get a little difficult to maneuver from time to time but all in all it’s very useful.

We bought this for my 4 yr old to use in the backseat because I got tired of finding crayons all over my car and having to find something for her to color on. So I found this on amazon and thought perfect. Well it is absolutely perfect. When my daughter isn't coloring then the pouch in the front for her iPad work great! She loves it. I love the fact that she doesn't have to take the iPad out of the pouch to change movies. The touch screen still works on the iPad through the pouch. It is a great product and I'm thinking about getting one for my youngest (18 months old so still rear facing) to use at least for the iPad holder while we drive to family vaca this summer because I know that she will eventually use the table and storage on the inside.This is a great product and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to have all their kids stuff within their kids reach when they are in the car. There is plenty of storage on the inside for multiple coloring books as well as several pouches for crayons, colored pencils, or if you are super brace markers.

This was the perfect companion for our multiple 4+ hour road-trips with our 6 year old! It was sturdy and so easy to attach and remove from the back of the passenger seat. My 6 year old was content drawing, coloring, playing with legos, and eating on the road with this. It kept him entertained and content, making the long road trip hours manageable with a little one. There are pockets to store pencils, crayons, etc. and you can zip it up with coloring books, books, etc in it too. Definitely recommend!
