It did stop most of the leaks but there's a tiny gap that can't filled in. It's still hold even after being in the sun all day. So that in itself is a plus. It should be a little wider for better coverage.new update September 18th 2022. " I did something stupid, I accidentally hit the sunroof button so I closed it fast and got out of the car and push down this seal and it stuck right back together. 100âs for that and it's still holding strong for sure with out a doubt going to buy this again. This item has sooooo many possibilities it's amazing. Say you have a 4 door and there a leak from your rear door but can't afford to replace the door seals. Use this and block off the top of that door. Poof leak stops. Or what if your trunk lid leaks, poof fixed because you had this product. I got one more for you, to all that has ever had a leak next to rear lights. The water some how stays in the trunk lid and you open your trunk and there's a small waterfall of water. This product will help you resolve your issue. Protects from water damage. This product should be in every persons vehicle or rv. It is fexable and extremely easy to use. This product could work in your home too. Cold air leaks like windows. I haven't tried it. If it took the paint off the window I don't think you would care if your saving on heat lose. The uses are endless. But you have to buy it to put it to the test. I wouldn't mind getting your opinion.

The rubber seems alright. It's consistently sized and well moulded.Quite flexible, although it's happier being stretched than curved - as the compressed side of the curve tends to bunch up and ruffle (rather than compress).The problem there is that the adhesive is just kinda OK. I know it appears to say 3M... but it's some of that nice skinny adhesive tape that's so narrow that the full logo does not appear anywhere. I would not be shocked to learn that it is not, in fact, 3M adhesive. Maybe, but it's not great.It sticks much better to plastic, rubber or paint than to glass. The problem is that glass is pretty common in the locations they recommend it for. I really don't think it was preparation. I cleaned the glass starting with a mild abrasive cleaner (barkeeper's friend), followed by mild soap (to remove the residual grit), followed by a non-polar solvent (Xylol), followed by the great all-purpose solvent Methanol (wood alcohol). That glass was clean and dry. The tape is lifting off in spots nevertheless.Places where it has no stress on it at all (no appreciable bends, stretches, curves, angles) like the top of a windscreen it's doing fine. Just don't ask it to conform to anything too radical (and stay put).

Was not wide enough for my sunroof to cover and seal as I needed it to. Water gets in since it’s not wide enough. The whole original gasket shows and defeats the purpose of sealing it up. Not good at all. Didn’t stick even after cleaning and alcohol prep as it started flapping the next afternoon when we drove the car. Application was fine. I tried. Can’t return.

The adhesive is not strong enough to handle car washes and rain. It eventually comes off.
