Our Family Reviews
July 10, 2025
We bought two of these 6 years ago to use as tents for a family reunion. We loaned to to a cousin to use for a church event. We used it again for a yard sale this weekend. We don't use it a lot, but it has been such a great purchase. We did not pay as much as is listed today. It did not cost nearly this much when we bought it. I think even at this higher price it is still a good buy to use as a tent. In fact, we had some strong wind gusts during our yard sale today and some customers were commenting on how sturdy it is. I would not use this for a carport because I don't think it is strong enough for permanent use. I wouldn't want to leave this up during storms or heavy snow. It's not that sturdy. But, it an exceptional tent. It's very easy to assemble. And it has bars that go around it that work great for hanging clothes for a yard sale. Two of them put side by side creates a 20' x 20' space. You can also easily attach curtains if you are trying to keep the sun from shining in sideways.

I read some reviews of people knocking this carport. Yes, it is cheap, and cheaply made. But it's like the saying goes, you get what you pay for. I'm not rich, so I can't afford $700 + to get a regular carport. So I bought this one, and I'm happy with it. It does its job pretty well. The place I live is very rocky, so putting some anchors in the ground is out of the question. So, I went to Home Depot, got 6 buckets, and 6 bags of concrete and put the legs in the buckets, leveled them out, and poured concrete in it. This make it sturdy, believe me, it isn't going anywhere. The way I see it, having a cheap carport, one that can be added to to make stronger is better than not having one at all. Like a car. It's better to have a car that needs to be worked on than not having one at all.Update; I have been using this carport for about two months now. The other day, we have very strong winds come through here, stronger than I have ever seen since moving here. The wind was so strong that it blew down the porch of my neighbors house, and in another area of town, blew over an rv trailer. Yet, my carport is still fully intact.

Dont get this, PLEASE! It didn't even really last the wind in the fall and summer. I am very pissed off, it broke the windshield on my boat, ruined the paint job and caused my tools to rust. It first collapsed the day after I got it, normal condition winds 2 - 4 mph. Was pinned down and secure. Them I added wood supports, those did not fail, but the tubes outside the wood did, I was left the canopy and the wood still hanging up there. Till the plow hit it, broke wood. It is poor quality, it is very thin steel. The only good use for this, is scrap metal, which there isn't very much considering its extremely think metal. You can buy the shelter logic for 200$ more, and it includes the sidewall kit with it. Much more sturdy and will last in snow, rain and storms. Please, again DONT GET THIS!!!! The canopy fabric itself is s***ty, and if it rains even a bit, water will leak right through it and get all of your tools wet. if you have any wind, forget about it. It has many holes and places were you connect the sidewall kit were it will draft wind, I had to use ductape to seal these. the zippers are also crap. I like in newengland, alot of snow wind and storms, the winter barley just started today, with 3 inches of snow, and the frame was shot, even with wood supports (the supports still lasted) I had it in an area were there is alot of trees and the wind wasn't to bad here. I serious am tellling you not to buy this, I wish I could give this a -112321312 stars. My friend also got one, no supports and it collapsed with 1/2 of snow. Really just dont get it at all!!! I deiced to cheep out, and it cost me 300$ for a new windsheild, 500$ for paint and tool over 200. Even if you are using it for a party or event, dont get it!!!! It will fall on all of the people under it, serious injuring them. Even if you are using it at a track for repair, it will fall on your vehicle and cause damage!!!DONT GET THISDO NOT GET THIS!!! DONT DO IT !!!! DONT GET HIS PRODUCT!!!!! DONT GET IT AT ALL!!

Good quality and size. Easy to build and take down if needed. My only thing is that it was picked up by the wind. It was a very very windy day however I had it secured and I thought it could make it.

I bought my first Caravan Canopy April 2014 to store some things in (I'm a pack rat and my 30' x 50' shop was literally overflowing). I'm 65 years old and sat it up by myself! It's easy, just don't do it on a windy day! I had to anchor the bottom of the legs to cinder blocks (which was a bad idea). It became a summer home to lawn mowers, bar-b-q grills and 2 very content rabbits. It held up great! I bought another one in October 2014 with 2 sets of sidewalls to use as a garden shed. I was able to use tie outs with heavy duty tent stakes on this one (it is still standing and protecting all my garden accessories beautifully). I plan to build a wet bar in it this summer and maybe a potty! When the winter snow and ice came I went out and gently pushed the snow off the roof. That worked fine at the garden which was tied out, but not in front of the shop. I was inside gently tapping the snow off the roof with a broom as it slowly fell over. (The rabbits had been moved in the house months earlier-another bad idea). It bent the top of the legs and damaged some of the poles in the roof support. The roof was fine! I contacted the Caravan Canopy Company to see what it would cost to purchase replacement poles. It would cost more for 10 poles than the whole thing had cost originally. The Company very graciously offered to send me the replacement parts AT NO COST if I would pay the shipping! I sat it all back up out in the yard using T-posts to support the legs. It is now going to be my summer kitchen. The first thing I'm going to cook is rabbit stew. I am a very satisfied customer and would recommend this product to anyone who is limited on money and storage space.

This was used to replace an old shelter that had survived 6 years of 365 day service so has a big space to fill. Construction went well but a couple of pieces did not align correctly and did need to be gerrymandered. the top fits good but needs tie downs to pull the corners tight and keep them in place. I also added bracing wires and tensioning turnbuckles between the rafter pipes to reduce sag in the middle of the roof and to help shed snow in the winter. Like the snow braces across the rafter pipes, this was a good innovation and was one of the selling points for this purchase. As modified, it appears that it will do the job needed. Will find out in 6 years!Mar 2021.Snow bars were a failure. The first winter, snow caved the whole frame with the failure point being the roof at bolting points for the snow bars. To withstand snow loading, add bars across the shelter at the top of the wall to prevent the upper legs from spreading. this is what results in the roof failure and shelter collapse. Also the roof tarp has too much slack and allows sagging and snow collection which doesn't help the snow to self clear.
