This was a gift for my niece who has been studying cello for the last few years. The bow she has been playing is installed with white horse hair so I bough her this bow with black horse hair. She initially did not like the black hair but the more she plays this bow the more she likes it because it produces a cleaner sound than her white hair bow. She is now using this bow as her main bow and the white hair bow becomes her spare bow. Her cello teacher agrees with her. As a violin teacher myself I feel this bow looks straight, clean and well made. The black horse hair may not be the taste for all players but if it plays well and the price is affordable I will throw in my hat to recommend this bow to all cello students.

The cello bow is too light, as far as weight, which-in impedes obtaining balance when playing the higher strings. Also, the string quality is poor; there was premature string (strand) breakage. Overall, I was displeased with this product.

I bought this bow in December of 2022. It worked well for a month or two and then the hair started gradually falling out at the tip. Then, the ferrule came loose and the hair completely loosened. Lasted me maybe 6 months. The cost to replace the hair is just as much as just buying a new one. Invest a little more money into a better quality bow.

First off, this bow was packaged extremely well. Kudos to protecting this cello bow. Bow was first placed in foam bag, next placed in heavy duty plastic, next placed into heavy duty pvc pipe and then sealed with high quality tape. Next placed into a box. Bow is superior quality, the way it’s balanced & weighted feels perfect. Sound is exceptional.

First one came bent with the horse hair too close to the stick. Ordered a replacement and the same thing. The pic with two bows it comparing to an accurate bow shape.

Globalement un bon produit. A utiliser principalement comme 2ème archet. Le crin noir est très joli mais un peu plus dur que le crin blanc. La force à mettre pour jouer n'est donc pas la même, ce qui peut être un peu déroutant au début.Très bon service client.J'ai eu un soucis de grippage du pas de vis et on m'a proposé un remboursement immédiat.

I've used other bows in this price range and they are pretty cheap and one even broke on me after a couple months. This one seems really high quality and produces a nice sound.
