I have never used a carbon-fiber bow before. I have a 30-some year old Pernambuco bow. Here's my experience...1. I am not a professional.2. I am not even a good player... I taught myself, and all of this time, I have hated the sound my violin makes... no matter what I do, I sound scratchy.3. I tried the carbon fiber bow.... and WHUUUT? I actually sound good? How can this be... it is a cheep kid's bow, right? So here's what I think is happening.... my old bow resonates when I play. I can feel it... this is what a good bow should do. I think. Again, I'm not an expert. But I think that since I'm not a great player, that resonance, since I never was taught how to control it, is wrecking havoc with my sound. I think this carbon fiber bow does not resonate, at least not as much.... now, the sound is flat, but it is very sweet sounding, too.Moral of the story... if you are not good at playing the violin, this bow will soften the sound and make it more pleasant to listen to. If you are a good violinist, you'll sound good no matter what you use, so you might as well get a wood bow that will have a richer sound. And since I stink at playing the violin, this is now my new go-to bow.

I’m not an expert in bows, but this bow feels well made. It has nice decorative pearlescent inlays as well and looks great.

First thing out of the box, great looking bow! I normally could care less what it looked like but in this case very nice look. The carbon seems to be pre stressed to allow an inward arch when tight making the horsehair closer to the bow at the center and the gap widens as it moves to the ends of the bow. The tension adjustment is smooth and slow allowing you to easily set or change tension. As I compare it with other bows I'm impressed with the smooth sweet sound It produces and how forgiving it is when played recklessly. I'd buy this again without reservations.

Review for Carbon Fiber Violin Bow 4/4 student outfit bows Violin Bow Natural Horse Hair for Porfessional Player pretty bow”After having two bows need immediate repairing at the same time, I ordered this bow as an emergency spare. However, when it arrived I realized it is super nice! I especially like the cace it arrives in as it is the perfect way to store the bow when not in use. I honestly could not tell the difference between it and my regular bows when using it while the bows were both being rehaired. I may even order this again to give as gifts to some of my violinist friends and family because the case is so nice. All you need to give it as a gift is a bow! Haha get it? A bow on the bow. Happy bowing!

I expected this violin bow to be nice, and it did indeed live up to my expectations. Like any new bow, you need to rosin the crap out of it. It's quite nice and actually comes in a very nice bow box that I will be keeping! Very happy, big upgrade from the very old bow that came with my violin.

I got this as a backup bow for my violin. It seems almost as good as my regular bow. It's just a tiny bit shorter and lighter, but it seems to play just as well. The case is really nice, too.

It actually looks to be better quality than the violin itself. My instrument came with two bows, and neither can match this one for fineness. And I don't worry about the frame breaking. Worth the money - beautiful sound, and I may upgrade my violin to match.

This is very nice bow. This is the first carbon fiber bow I have used, and I like it very much. This bow comes in a sturdy and attractive, protective case.
