Easy to setup and read. I like that I can take it with me on trips as well.

Works as advertised. Easy to set up and test by pushing the ‘test’ button. I use it for overnights in my ice fishing hub.

This is a nice little Carbon Monoxide detector. It was a simple as just turning it on. It came with hardware to mount on the wall but I just put it on a hall table outside the bedrooms. I can't speak to how long it will work - battery is supposed to last ten years and there's a sticker to date when you activated it.

This is a review for "Carbon Monoxide Detector, KARUOTOP 10 Years Battery Carbon Monoxide Alarm"Though I haven't been able to test in an environment in which there is definitely CO, I will say that the feeling of this device is that is it quality. It doesn't feel cheap. When I activated it the sound was loud, which made me feel like if it went off I would definitely be able to hear it.I got this as a backup to my ceiling smoke/CO detectors and for traveling.I've had this in my kitchen for almost a month and I've had no issues with the unit. The display is clear and easy to read.I docked a star as a placeholder in case something goes wrong or if I do have an opportunity to test it.

Easy to operate, just turn on in the back of unit and pull safety tab. I liked it had a base so it would stand alone or could be mounted to a wall. Direction for placement were easy to follow. Standard 10 year non-replacable battery.

The unit is not too large and not too small. It is attractive, and if you choose to mount it on a wall in your house or apartment, the appearance will be pleasing. The instructions are well on the side of tiny and hard to read. I opened up the small multi-fold, numbered the pages and then cut them so I could scan them into my primary PC. I was then able to rearrange the pages in their proper readable order through Acrobat. Once you pull the plastic tab to engage the battery, the unit begins a one minute countdown. Once it reaches zero, you hear a loud test beep and the unit displays the CO parts per million. Zero is what you want to see.So the question is......how do you test it without risking your life? Obviously, I wanted to see if it would register carbon monoxide levels. So this is what I did. I cranked up my wife's Lexus and held the unit right behind one of the tailpipes. After a few seconds, it registered 136 PPM. I let it run for a bit and then it went to 59 PPM and then to 36 PPM as the engine warmed up and began to run more efficiently. The alarm did not go off because the device is configured to sound the audible alarm after it has reached certain levels for preset time limits. So if the device had reached 300 PPM or above the device will alarm at some point between zero and three minutes. Presumably, the higher the PPM the shorter the audible response time.Frankly, I ordered this to carry with me when we travel. I have read too many horror stories of people dying in hotel rooms at various resorts around the world. But, if you want to mount it in your home, the device comes with what is a very nice mounting template so you can place it properly on your desired wall without drilling too many holes (that you would have to patch). The battery supposedly lasts ten years and who knows if it will last that long. However, there is a test button on the front of the unit so you can test it periodically. Would you spend a hundred or two hundred dollars on something that could save your life? Of course, you would. The list price on this unit (as of the date of this review) is $29.99.

I got this primarily for use in my campervan. For that purpose, I wanted something* that didn't need battery changes* that would show me the CO ppm (parts per million), and* that I could take into the house when we are using the van. This item meets all 3 criteria:* The 10 year battery means I don't have to think about it.* Being able to see the carbon monoxide level BEFORE the alarm goes off is important to me, since we have a diesel heater inside that runs off the fuel tank - if the heater cracks, some exhaust gas could get inside, and I'd like to see that as soon as possible.* Taking it into the house is useful, since I don't want to leave it in the van during sub-zero weather (battery would die fast). To test this item's response to actual CO, I took it to the van, started its engine, and held the device near the exhaust for about 20 seconds. The ppm count went to 999 - obviously the max for the display. Then the alarm went off - as it should, since if I was breathing that air, it would be time to get away fast. After about 30-50 more seconds in the clean air, the value on the LCD display dropped to 135 - still a bad level, and still displaying the red (alert) LED. The level stayed there while I took it back inside. Then when I checked back after 3-5 minutes, it had dropped down to 0 ppm - again, as it should.I don't want to mount it on my wall, but it comes with screws for that purpose if desired. It also comes with instructions (in fairly small type) that explain how to press the TEST button to ... um, test the alarm sound (loud) ... and also to silence the alarm. Conclusions:* I've only had it one day, so I can't speak to its actual longevity.* But this item is what I wanted - portable, maintenance free, and actually shows the level of CO.

I recently bought the KARUOTOP Carbon Monoxide Alarm, and it’s a great product for home safety. Here’s what I like about it: 1. 10-Year Battery: The long-lasting battery means you don’t have to worry about replacing it often, which is very convenient. 2. Clear Display: The LCD screen shows the carbon monoxide levels, so it’s easy to check if everything is safe. 3. Easy to Install: It’s battery-powered, so you can place it anywhere in your home without needing a plug. 4. Loud Alarm: The alarm is very loud, which is good for emergencies. 5. Meets Safety Standards: It follows EN 50291 guidelines, so you know it’s reliable.Overall, it’s easy to use, works well, and gives peace of mind for keeping your family safe. Only down side for me is the black face stand out more than fully white one on my ceiling. Would be ideal if it could be more discreet. Definitely recommend!

A fairly compact and unobtrusive carbon monoxide detector with a clear display. Which is backlit. There is a sliding on/off switch on the back. The alarm is very loud and was heard via the test function.I am unable to comment on its longevity of the device and its non replaceable battery. The battery is supposed to last for 10 years. Its life will be shortened from alarm activations and the duration of them. The product is to be discarded at an appropriate recycling centre at the end of life of the battery, or when the device ceases to correctly function. It can stand but the feet are small and ought to be bigger to improve stability. This product can be mounted with the provided or alternative screws and wall plugs. The plastic shell is rather robust on the front and surround. Although there is some flex to the rear panel.A very minor issue. The tab to remove the plastic front protective layer came away on its own. There does appear to be holes in the protective plastic and so it could be left in place.

This alarm is very easy to install; it comes with the fittings to put it on that wall or can just sit on its own. The display is very clear and easy to read.

This carbon monoxide detector brings with it a sleek look too as it sits nicely on a desk, wall, or any work surface with an intuitive digital display. The unit itself is impressively small so doesn’t hold a big profile. If the level goes too high, it sounds a warning and then siren if this level keeps rising so it’s purely designed with a view to keep you and your family safe given the deathly dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning. This adheres to all EN 50291 standards most notably although it’s hard to fully test the alarm functionality in real life (only by using the test button of course)! The device comes with an inbuilt battery and given they’re designed to last 10 years, you should basically never need to replace the battery in it (the digital display does also show the battery status). You can place the device anywhere around the home knowing it will provide safety but I most recommend in areas where there’s loose gas potential i.e hobs, fireplaces, boilers as the usual sources of this dangerous gas. It brings plenty of functionality vs a more standard ceiling or portable tester but is likewise on the pricy side for one of these although the digital display especially is nice and the look is much nicer. There’s certainly nothing wrong with it though and can recommend from there.

As CO alarms go, this seems to be a very good one. Firstly, that it's of a rounded shape rather than a clunky box type design is a plus point, as it blends in better in your room and measuring 13.5 cm wide x 7 x 2.5 it's fairly streamlined - doesn't take up much room or stick out like an eyesore. That it looks decent is of secondary importance of course to its functionality, but the functionality appears very good too. It's fitted with a 10 year battery, which means that eventually you'll need to replace the whole unit, (at least I presume this is the case), but 10 years is a long time and you won't be plagued with the aggravating beeping of the low battery common with normal batteries. There's a clear and easy to read LCD screen which gives a constant real-time reading of particles of carbon monoxide in the air. It will also display an icon as a warning, as well as the very loud alarm on detection of CO, and a low/dead battery notice. In addition to this, it employs a traffic light system and will show green for power, red for alarm and yellow for fault/low battery. The alarm, (when tested), is super loud! I just hope I never get to hear that out of test conditions! There's also an on/off button on the back so you can pack the alarm and take it with when you go away, which is an excellent idea. I also like that, it can be free-standing on little legs or wall mounted, (screws and plugs included). All in all, this seems an excellent quality, good design and great functionality alarm, and with a 10 year lifespan, a must have for peace of mind. Recommended.
