A super-useful tool for removing stubborn carbon buildup on and around the bolt assembly of my AR. It offers plenty of curves, angles and surfaces that allow me to reach and remove carbon and grime from every surface and crevice. Be sure to pair this tool with some quality cleaner and a small brush. Plus, if you have an ultrasound cleaner, use that too.

I've tried several carbon removal tools on the market to keep my bolt carrier group clean, and had mixed results. The tools were either marginally effective, or I put them with my tools and they weren't with me. This little tool might be the answer. What you get is basically a piece of steel with some slots cut into it that fit the various nooks and crannies in the BCG. Sounds simple, but it works. If you play with the tool a bit, you can see what fits what. It even has a hook to remove the retaining pin.The only negative I can see is I wish it had a better way to attach a lanyard or something to keep it on me. It does have a spot at the base where it looks like they intend to have an attachment, but it is way to small to get anything in except fishing line or dental floss.Other than that, I think this is a useful tool for both the field and the bench.

Picked this up for the range bag and it seems to be an indispensable tool. Seems to be really well made and is a perfect knock off of the Real Avid AR15 Scraper. Even the texture on the handle is a perfect match. Same price as the Real Avid version, so I have to wonder if it's not made by a third party and sold to both companies to be distributed. Either way, it's a decent deal for having a tool that takes care of all the BCG Cleaning tasks.

Where was this tool all my life? This is fantastic for getting all that carbon from my guns. Great little tool to make gun maintenance easier. Little wire brushes were a good to before, but this has replaced my use of them. The tight spots are easily reached and makes scraping everything out a breeze

Works ok. Does not fit into the bolt to scrape the bolt in the most important location that needs cleaned.

Good little compact tool for cleaning your AR BCG.I keep mine in my range bag, as I have more detailed and elaborate tools at home, for a full cleaning, after soaking the BCG in solvent. This will take care of a lot of carbon deposits for a "quick and dirt- once over" in the field.Probably should be lower priced.

This is nice little tool for getting into the nooks and crannies of your AR15s insides. I've used mine mostly on the BCG but this has uses in cleaning the gun generally. My unit feels quite sturdy and doesn't have any obvious flaws. The "business" ends are similarly edged though not exactly what I'd call sharp. That's a good thing. The muck and carbon Come right off with any meaningful pressure though I will caution that you probably don't want to scratch those components up.
