Neoprene boots are designed with additional bellows, when needed, to resist bellow stress and cracking, which is the leading cause of boot failure. The transmission seal diameter is precision-machined after heat treatment to ensure correct surface finish, promoting long seal life. Boot clamps are pneumatically crimped, creating a perfect seal between the boot and housing. A new axle retaining nut is supplied with every drive shaft assembly for a hassle-free installation, due to the likelihood that the original retaining nut is worn or stripped. Used on an 08 4runner SR5 V6 4x4. Fit was identical to OEM. Axles seem durable and so do the boots. Replaced both the same time. Complete P.I.T.A. to get the axle to seat completely in the front diff. Make sure you have a good pry bar to get the old ones out.****UPDATE****Its been about 2 years/20k miles since I originally installed these axles. Driver side axle is good but the inner boot on the passenger side axle has detached. Axles don't make any noise or anything but I feel like the boots should have lasted longer than 2 years, especially since this is the "stronger" axle version. But, for ~$60 it's not too bad.

Fit my 2005 Toyota Tacoma 4WD V6 4.0L perfectly! If this is remanned, I can't tell. The boots on it feel like high quality. Shipping was quick and it was packed nicely to reduce risk of damage during shipment. Finished the project in under an hour. Price is both crazy and insane good, both at the same time!

In the beginning, there were next to no issues. Worked great, installed easily, looked good, functioned as advertised. I installed these preemptively before a 1400 mile round trip because I knew the truck needed it. No issues. That was in July 2020.Fast forward to now, upon acceleration, that dreaded vibration is back. Took a peep into the wheel well, and I've met w/ a boot that's torn through with the grease that's supposed to be inside of it all over the underside of my truck. Quite annoying.If you're thinking what I thought: "Wow, it's amazing, the world we live in where a $500MM revenue/year company can manufacture a quality component while still keeping the price competitively low." THINK AGAIN.I won't be buying from Cardone again.

Soon after installing this the boot split and leaked grease all over my control arm and brakes. The won’t replace unless I send back to old one. How am I supposed to drive the car with just one axle on it?

Have not yet installed, but the delivery was two days early and the product was very well packaged, with a box inside a box and secured inside, very impressive. Even came with a new cotter pin. All I have to do now is install it (but not on Easter Sunday. That would make for unhappiness).

My factory original CV axles were still performing great, but my outer CV boots were 7 years old and starting to crack on both CV's. The cost of buying whole new Cardone axles was cheaper than just buying CV boots for my OEM CV's, so I bought 2 of these. Not only is it a more affordable option, but it saves the time and effort of the boot replacement project.I was concerned that these aftermarket CV's wouldn't perform like my OEMs did for 7 years, but so far I'm impressed. I have been on 4 very rugged 4x4 trail runs since replacing my OEMs with these, and they have been great. I have a 3" suspension lift in the front end of my '06 Tacoma 4x4, and these Cardones haven't bound up or given me any issues offroading or on the streets.Fingers are crossed that they will keep performing.

Did left and right on my 06 Tacoma with these. Fit perfectly. A few months in, a few rough trips in the woods and I've had no problems with them so far.To be noted:I don't take it easy with my truck.

Looked like good quality at first but after 8k kilometers the boots torn and the clamps arnt tight enough on the boots and the grease comes out. Dont buy spend your money on other CV axle brands.
