I bought this to replace the original Sunsetter Manual Awning pull that was apparently cut-off from the unit on our new-to-us home. Removing the "original" piece was easy (slid out the end of its channel in the roller). Installing this pull was easy, it just slid in. While it was black and our original was tan, they seem to be of identical quality. We cannot attest to that for the loop (because the tan original was obviously missing). The main problem we experienced was this new strap being too short. It rolls up completely in the awning fabric, leaving no pull loop exposed; so you need to get a step stool and hand-unroll the awning partially, until the loop does appear. We are not sure what length was needed, because we could not get the original part from Sunsetter (COVID issues).

When my original awning strap broke due to sun rot, I ordered a pair of cheaper universal straps only to find that they were too long. Much worse, the “universal†strap’s end piece not fit my Carefree Fiesta awning. So I had to return them and buy this OEM version. It costs a bit more, but most importantly, it fit!
