Install was easy, this fits in the existing location for Honda CRV. It works by pressure to stay in, so if you drive over bumpy roads, you may want to Gorilla tape it. It covers the area pretty well. The middle flap has plastic hooks that connect to the back seat headrests. This is optional, you don't have to connect them, it can just hang down. If you do connect them, the back seats will need to be moved in unison, or just disconnect this first. The CRV back seats recline... Leave this unit near a fan to air out the chemical smells before install. Overall a great value. Durability I can't speak to yet. Would like to have seen a finished edge on the fabric, it is just cut and unfinished. We will see long term. This was a better value than the dealer, even with 10% off. The OEM part does not cover the middle area at all. (Between the rail and the back seat, ~8")

My Honda dealer wanted $182 for the OEM (no longer included with purchase of a new CR-V, one of the few things Honda has done that irritates me). This item is great. No downside.

It is a very good product in general, good quality and the operation is correct, with a precise adjustment. But there is a problem with the extra cover, the one that grabs onto the seats in this new version. The problem is that the metal rod is sheathed but its ends are not sealed and due to the movement of the car or vibrations, the rod moves and hits the glass of the small side windows. It hasn't broken the glass, but it has damaged the window film, leaving a visible mark. It would be important that they review this error in the design so that this unfortunate defect does not cause this inconvenience to the user, having to replace the window film.

Installation tip. While installing it I discovered I needed to put one side into the slot using the long bar to compress the springs. Next, I used my hand to keep the end compressed and removed it. Then, I put the opposite end in the slot and used the bar to compress that side. Finally, I dropped the end I was holding into the original slot.

Quality is not the best and it’s definitely not for CR-V, it fits yes but there are some spaces in the back side and the front side additional shield is too long and does not fit to the middle sit support. Anyway it kinda worth its price, not a bad product just giving feedback on my experience. The rod mentioned in the comments is now fixed so I don’t expect it to get loose.

When I first tried to install this cargo cover, I thought it wasn't going to fit and that I was going to have to return it. However, I then discovered that each end of the main rod is retractable and it therefore fits perfectly. I really appreciate the extra cover that hooks onto the rear headrests and thus gives better coverage that the OEM cargo cover (which lacks this extra cover). Otherwise, this looks like an OEM cover and is a great addition to my new CR-V.

The connectors are wide plastic and make the cover bunch near the back seat. The little ones pictured seem to be better. I’m not sure. It’s bunched some and doesn’t fit well. I have to keep the middle headrest elevated to make it even. There are still little gaps on the side you can see through in the window. It also smells.

Pros:-fits in the 23 crv-easy to install and use-covers the entire cargo trunk leaving no gaps (which a lot of the other ones don't seem to do)-material seems durable-cost is a lot less than the one from HondaCons:-only problem so far is to be careful when loading/unloading. The bike handle touched the top bar ever so slightly and because it has a spring to fit into the side walls it sprung out. This has happened a few times. Not a big deal if you know to watch out for it and it's fairly easy to pop back in. It's just a bit annoying when you're in a rush or have little ones.
