The flat profile of the Trac Chief increases stability by putting more rubber on the road, and the tire's rugged tread compound increases durability and load-carrying capacity. The reinforced sidewall of the Trac Chief resists sidewall tearing and bruising, while the built-in rim guard protects from hazards and debris. Additionally, the aggressive lug design of the Trac Chief improves traction on any given surface while also increasing handling capabilities.

Carlisle in a great, old USA tire mfg. I couldn't wait to replace the weathered China tires on my John Deere with these great quality tires. A fair price and quick ups delivery.

i can confirm the tire is only like 26" roughly after mounted. i don't see how they can stamp it as a 27". i didn't bother to measure width. overall its a great replacement and looks like it will hold up for many years.

Tires size on the tire and on amazon show it to be 27" tall and 10.5" wide. Actual size is closer to 26" tall and 9 3/8" wide. After the headache of not getting a response to this question on amazon prior to shipping, waiting to get the tires, and getting them mounted; I am just going to keep them and hope they work out. I've ordered lugged tractor tires before and normally the size ends up being larger than advertised because they dont count the thickness of the tread. Not the case here. they are smaller. It would be nice to get what I paid for; or at least know what I'm getting. Glad I didn't order the 8.5", its probably as wide as a pencil.
