I was thinking I didn't need a kit, mine would be fine. But I bought just in case. I did really need it, and this was great. I worried a bit in that there was review that noted the parts were not the same quality as the OEM. However, they were great, in fact I felt they were as good or better than the original. I also saw in the reviews there was one part that was a bit larger than the original and could hurt the drum. With that info and the work of a small grinder, and I was set. This was a great kit, I would for certain do this again. This went on a 2006 Jeep TJ X.

This quality kit has everything needed to replace all the hardware. Highly recommend. Fit perfect on my 1993 XJ.

This is a complete kit and perfect for rebuilding my 99 Jeep cherokee XJ drum brakes. One thing I noticed though was there's a few extra pieces added, presumably for other types of drum brake setups. For example the U clips, washers, and brass pins were not needed for my drum brakes.

Overall, it is a good product and a good price. However, I am disappointed as one of the half moons that holds the adjusting cables was not quite right. This let the adjusting cable slip and left it too long to make contact with the star adjusting wheels. So I reused to original half moon piece and things stayed where they were supposed to. Everything else fit perfectly and seems to be of good quality. That said, one part that doesn't function well is enough to mess up the whole thing.

Everything fit and the kit has every little piece you will need, for the price its well worth replacing the hardware if you are in there doing the shoes anyways.
