Works great. The issue with this style applicator is the foam pad rips off. I've purchased a similar style from AutoZone for closer to $5 so hopefully this will hold up a little better.

The product worked great twice and when I cleaned it up to remove the dried tire coat, it fell apart?? IThe sponge separated from the metal handle. If your product cannot be washed off with soap and warm water you should warn customers in advance. One wash with soap and water and the sponge separated and had glue all over the sponge and the metal handle. No warnings not to clean it up before purchase or with the product when it arrived. Thought it was very good but not if it falls apart in just days!I am purchasing another brand that states it is SAFE TO WASH!**ADDITIONAL: I emailed the manufacturer 10 days ago about this product and requested a replacement because I didn’t feel like they would refund my cost. They have not even bothered to respond to my email! That tells me all I need to know about this company and their products! This item is junk and shouldn’t even be sold until they can correct it or stop selling it. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY! I ordered another similar item that cost more but it is worth it! They responded today 7/11 and blamed the holiday for the slow response. However they have passed it off to their “technical product support†to review my problem?? All this over an $8.00 product??? I would refresh my rating if they just would replace the item - their cost is probably $5 but they want to stall. After reading ALL the bad reviews my guess is there are several people upset and contacting them. It’s their fault if they choose to alienate customers for something that costs them probably $5?????

I love this applicator.It makes applying tire shine quick and easy.I see a lot of comments about the pad separating from the handle.This is happening because you are using cheap products with solvents in them.They not only eat the glue, but they also sling from your tires onto your paint job causing damage to your paint.Use a quality Tire Product, Like TireShine Plus from CroftgateUSA which contains no solvents or Petroleum distillates, and you won't have any problems.Also, store the applicator in a zip lock bag between uses to keep it from drying out.I keep one of these in my detail bag at all times.

Used this item to appt tire shine twice and the sponge separated from the handle. The whole purpose of purchasing was to not get the oily tire dressing on my hands. Unfortunately I can’t recommend this item. The sponge was poorly constructed to the handle. I already had a sponge but now i have two.

I bought this to help with applying tire shine and ability to keep the mess to a limited area instead of leaving marks on my driveway afterwards and no need to use those plastic wheel covers protectors after cleaning the cars. Aside from the tire shine I am using it applies the tire shine evenly from 15 inch tires with a lot of sidewall to 20 inch tires with a fair amount of sidewall on the tire thay I have used this on. With the handle it doesn't require gloves or just letting it get on your hands when the small foam applicators break apart. It is solid and works great. I am glad I purchased this, I should have long ago.
