Installation
1. Drill two holes on the wall and install the expansion tube into the holes.
2. Align the wall plate with the the thermostat panel.
3. Screws through the expansion tube to fix the wall plate and the thermostat panel.
4. Put the thermostat on the panel of the thermostat.

Love how easy this fit together with my Ecobee thermostats. Looks like it was meant to come straight from factory with my Ecobee. It was the perfect since to cover the wall from my old thermostat. I needed to run an external power cord from my Ecobee to a wall outlet and I was worried it wouldn't work with the plate, but it fit great and I had no installation issues. Nice quality and great value for the money.

We replaced our standard thermostat with an Ecobee. When we did the area covered by the ecobee was obviously smaller so it need to be painted but this plate cover took care of that and worked perfectly. Well made, fits the ecobee product. Easy to install.

At first glance this product looked fine. However, when I tried to install it, I found multiple issues, I probably should have sent it back, however I decided to make this work. It took some modifications and several trial fits, but when I was done, it did work. The design of this product needs to be modified to make it more user friendly.

Ecobee 3 Lite thermostat fits perfectly within this matching color circular trim, and it is a simple, pleasing visual effect. Not sure if the price should be quite this high, as it seems materials to build it shouldn’t be that costly, and I would be even MORE pleased if it cost ONLY a few dollars — BUT, sometimes the aftereffect is worth what you spent on it — and someone out there DID have to come up with the concept and design, in the first place, so maybe it’s not unreasonable. I WOULD make the same decision again to purchase trim piece, and I am happy with the finished look.[Note: yes, in my picture a new coat of paint is in order for my wall, as my OLD thermostat was huge and rectangular … but that is a future project. ]
