HOW TO USE THE DOG NAIL GRINDER CORRECTLY

We have a Border Collie Weimaraner mix currently 8 months old and a a 1 year old cat. I bought this unit after out last one fell apart only after a handful of uses. This on the other hand is a powerhouse and makes quick work of both dog nails and cats, I love it, I've suggested it to several friends and to our trainer and groomers.Construction: this unit is SOLID, it's really built to last and nothing on here feels cheap or fragile.Functionality: with 6 speeds (which was why I bought it) it will make quick work of grinding down the nails of even the thickest nails.Practical use: For our cat Frida I set the power to 3 or 4 the very first time OR if I let her nails get long. For people who are uncertain how to use the more profesional units I would suggest starting on setting 1 or 2 until you get used to it. Frida's nails being much smaller don't need anything over a 4, and at that speed the grinder makes quick work of all her nails (I only do the front).Bentley our puppy on the other hadn has much thicker nails. I set the speed to a 5 for his black nails and a 6 for the clear nails. I like to take my time on the dark nails as it's a bit of a guessing game where the vein actually starts.Both our cat and dog are used to having their feet touched and for a grinder this unti is pretty quiet given the power. Frida is a little more fussy than Bentley but she'll put up with me grinding down her nails with little fuss. Bentley acts like he's at the spa and puts up no resistance whatsoever and rather enjoys the whole process.For the price this is really the best pet nail grinder ont he market and I am really happy I bought it.

My great Dane hates to have her nails trim and it’s become a real chore. But this product has absolutely made things so much easier. I’m truly easier. It’s not very loud, but it is super strong and super fast cutting through even a great Dane’s nails. There is no pain easy to grip. The lights are fantastic. I found the size to be perfect and the fact that you have multiple settings is fantastic for smaller dogs or medium size dogs as well. It has held a charge better than any other similar product I bought in the past. I cannot tell you how impressed I am by this nail trimmer

I don’t give 5 start reviews on any product or service.That said, I am very impressed with the quiet operation of this nail grinder as well as its ease of use and low vibration.My GSD hates getting her nails trimmed and always has. She has never had a quick cutting incident nor has she been forced or held down for a trimming!This tool has made a huge difference in her behavior during nail trimming sessions!After introducing her to the trimmer in the off position and then touching the trimmer while it’s running several times, I made my move.I played with her for an hour and then gently touched the grinder wheel to her nails. Three days later and we have a non eventful nail trimming/training session 2 times a day with lots of treats and praise.Here is a couple of things that I would like to change. I wish the grinding wheel rotated parallel the the length of the nail instead of across it. It would make grinding smoother and the wheel less jumpy if your angle is off.I don’t know how durable and resistant to dropping accidents the housing is but, if a rubber armored housing or bumper could be added and not cause an overheating issue it might be worth it. A little more powerful motor would be nice!It appears to be well constructed and made with quality components and with use and time will I be able to determine the verdict!Update 10/16/23I’ve used this grinder for just over two months now, and have a pretty good overall experience with this grinder.As I mentioned before, I would like a little more power. I would prefer to have the grinding wheel rotate parallel to the nail instead of perpendicular to the nail and would feel better if they included a rubber armor skin to protect against accidental drop damage!Lastly the grinding wheel lasted less than 2 months ( I put about 31/2 to 4 months use on the wheel in 2 months. If you used the grinder 2 times a week.)This is my first time using a grinder for nail care, So I don’t know if the grinding wheel lasted a long time or if it was below or above average? It seems a bit short considering it’s diamond impregnated!Anyway, a very good and quiet product that has help make nail care stress free for my dog and I!

I'm absolutely pleased with this pet nail grinder. My dogs hate to have their nails clipped. So, even though they may jerk back a bit this won't hurt them! It was quiet, easy to use and pretty powerful. It didn't scare them as much as clippers do. I'm very pleased with the quality and the price!

Grinder is quiet and makes doing my dog's nails easier. However, after 6 months/a handful of uses, grinder will no longer work unless plugged in; the battery dies as soon as I unplug it from charging. I have to put the charging cable into a brick and plug into an extension cord into the wall in order to be able to wrangle my dog at trim time. Definitely not ideal.

First it is very safe to use on my dog nail that are long and curved under. Love the led light it showed exactly where was the nerve. My dog (highland westies) has a combination of light and dark nails.I was able to grind at a fast speed even at the lowest speed. I only used the black top since the clear top was for smaller nails. I was able to do all his nails, extremely long and the batteries was still giving me full speed. It also charges rather fast. Overall this is my 4th make for nail grinders and is the best I have owned, I would recommand it to all who needs one. For the price, it is worth it. It is very light in the hand and so easy to manipulate in various angles. My dog loved it, he layer down on his back relaxing as if he was in a spa.I'll keep using it and see how the battery last over time and the diamond bit.

Facile da usare.Fa pochissimo rumore.E finalmente riesco a limare le unghie alla cagnolina. prima con le forbici apposta aveva paura e si nascondeva sotto il tavolo. Mia mamma mi aveva dato un altro lima unghie, ma non riuscivo ad usarlo perché rumoroso.Consiglio vivamente.

Nachdem ich einen Dremel für Menschen ausprobiert habe, der gut war, aber zu langsam zum Schleifen und sehr laut war, bin ich absolut überzeugt von diesem Krallenschleifer. Liegt gut in der Hand, kann man in allen Positionen am Hund gut benutzen. Mein Hund ist sehr schwierig im Handling beim Krallenschneiden. Mit der Schere eine Qual. Mit dem ist es kein Problem. Binnen Minuten konnte ich alle Krallen super kürzen. Mein Hund hat still gehalten. Kein Splittern mehr, schöne weiche Übergänge und wir nähern uns endlich der korrekten Krallenlänge. Vorher war es ein kleiner Kampf. Wir hatten beide keine Lust drauf. Das ist nun Vergangenheit.Wie lange der Akku hält, kann ich nicht einschätzen. Aber alleine, das es aufladbar ist und kein Kabel mehr stört, kann ich es jedem nur empfehlen.Das mit der durchsichtigen Plastikkappe verstehe ich noch nicht ganz. Passt so nicht drauf und das „dunkle“ kann ich am Schleifstein nicht entfernen.
