This helmet is great and has saved my 19 yr old ottb who is 16.2 hands tall from seriously injuring herself backing out of the trailer. She has a tendency of panicking when she unloads. This helmet has helped tremendously. The day I had her delivered to her forever home with me, she split her head wide open and I have lessons where I Trailer her quite frequently and she resplit her head open when it was beginning to heal.my instructor told me to find a helmet and after reading several reviews stating the same problems others were having , I decided to give it a shot and I couldn't be happier with this product. Now my girl doesn't get scared loading in anymore , still working unloading but she is definitely getting better at it especially with this helmet on and she loads no problem with no hesitation with her helmet on.

After my mare reared up in the trailer and split her head open I decided to look into the horse helmets.I decided on the Cashel Horse Helmet for my mare.I received the package with in days and was very happy when I tried it out, easy to put on and take off.I had a trainer work with her in the trailer and she reared up three times and hit her head with the helmet on.No injuries and no blood this time.For the price it's worth the money and it seem's durable and will last, we will see over time.

No matter how I attach this to my halter, it comes off his ears... the bungee clips aren’t big enough for the standard ring on halter, and just stretch them selves out to big as you tighten them. I wanted to like this but sadly couldn’t.

The helmet arrived exactly as it looks in the pics. It was easy to put on my horse and fits right over the halter with snaps.. My horse didn't mind having the helmet on and actually seemed to be comforted by it . The helmet is good if you have a horse that doesn't load well . An injury could be very dangerous and costly. It also made me more relaxed loading and unloading, knowing that he had some protection with the helmet on.dislike : The helmet did slide a bit so be sure to make a snug adjustment with the expandable elastic straps .I did my research & felt that this was the best helmet for the price. Hopefully it will hold up and keep my horse safe. I have only had the helmet for a week but as of now I would purchase it again.

This is a great product if you have a horse that is hard to load. I like the reassurance of having my horse's head protected while he travels and especially during loading and unloading. He wore this on a trip across the country and it held up well.

Vey easy and and quick to clip on/off over the halter. I only need this for quick trips in the little road runner so that was a Must for me. Im a little worried will the plastic clios hold up long term, but they have been fine so far for a handful of uses. My other concern was using in this GA heat, but it is lightweight and I felt like it was fine. My horse doesnt mind it. I dont think he has tested it with a bump (thankfully) yet, but I have confidence in the coverage.

We have a 17 hand TB and he was afraid to come into our trailer. He has banged his head before so I know why he is afraid. This helmet works great and is very easy to get on and off.

Love how this looks on my horse (it’s my current profile picture) it’s hilarious. My 16.1 quarter horse is accident prone and very much so in the trailer as he wasn’t hauled much before i got him. And with that being said, the helmet is very rarely where it’s supposed to be when I go to unload him. So I won’t be using the product again as he is now fine with trailers after being hauled All day Saturday, and in and out as it was raining on and off. However this product would have been useful before he was trailer broke.I would definitely recommend for people trailer breaking horses and those hauling new horses with questionable loading experience. It’s easy to use and just clips right onto the halter. But as a long term safety option for horses, I would not reccomend as it doesn’t stay on consistently.
