For the money it was sufficient. It's probably not a good player for everyday use because it is not very well built, but for the purpose it was designed for it is very good. It was convenient and worked just as it should.

We have several shoe boxes of cassette tapes from when I was stationed overseas and we corresponded through the mail. They have been sitting in dark corners of closets and other out-of-the-way places for about 50 years, and my wife kept threatening to do "something" with them. I found this and gave it to her, and haven't seen her in a couple of weeks now! She's been transferring everything (our love letters, her family gatherings, the voices of family members long since departed, etc.) into mp3 files, and now she's going to make CDs and send some of this treasure trove to her siblings. She had forgotten what was on those tapes, and has been having a great stroll down memory lane. The tape unit works fine, but it is a bit of a battery hog!

I had bad luck with this. Broke out old band cassette recordings hoping to transfer to computer. Everytime i put cassette into unit to record to memory the tape speed was horrible. Could not adjust it correctly. Played perfectly in boombox but not in this unit. Used the 120v power supply but, still slow speed. Hopefully others have better experience.

This was useless. The recorded audio had a constant chirp/squeal noise in the background. I did use the recommended memory stick. the volume on the recorded audio was very low. It did not separate the tracks of the recordings and the buttons were not very intuitive to use. I tried several tapes that played fine on other devices and also tried recording from a auxiliary device. Amazon returns work great!

The software had a steep learning curve. I have never editing audio tracks before. I would like to see more examples of using the audio effects and editing in a video. Really happy I bought it.

I am completely satisfied with the cassette to mp3 converter! The converter does exactly what it’s supposed to do. The sound quality is good not great, but it is cassette after all. I have used it to listen to my cassette and find no problem with the sound. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a cassette to mp3 converter.
