I have a huge Tabby - shorthair - but fur is thick, dense and easily mats. I have a huge variety of grooming tools on hand. Now that I'm elderly and handicapped, I needed something simple and easy to use that I can keep nearby. This comb is excellent - I already had one upstairs, and ordered an extra for downstairs when Fatty is sitting next to me. It really removes so much fur - he sheds like crazy , particularly in the Springtime. He loves to be combed with this grooming comb - we're both happy. Highly recommend this comb.

Having 2 Rag dolls, this comb is awesome! They both love it & now literally come running when they see to be groomed! The combination of the spinning action & slight up & down movement of each 'blade/brissel" seems to very comforting to our kitties.....

I got this for my wooly Siberian teenage kitten, Aki, who really needs grooming but has objected to all grooming tools on sight from the day I brought him home.Aki is ornery. And despite being a rough, tough, wrecking-ball of a teenager, he's ridiculously touchy about being groomed. My other cat loves to be groomed. When his grooming tool runs into some resistance, he purrs even louder because he knows it is working out tangles. Aki, though, flares up angrily at such resistance. This comb does seem to reduce that, though. So far I've managed a few one minute grooming sessions with him using this comb. He purrs, so I guess it feels good. But he still resists.Of course it won't get out firm mats. Going to have to snip those (more battles ) before I can use this comb on those areas.Only took a star off because it's a little noisy, making it harder to sneak up on him. But I think it's a worthwhile tool for long-haired cats. It's well-made, a quality tool. If he ever gets reasonable about grooming, think I'll get the rake with rotating teeth the company also sells.

Years ago I found a 6 inch comb with rotating metal tines. This one is longer but works well.

This is one of my favorite type of dog Combe. The teeth spins which makes getting out Matt’s much easier. It’s my go to comb for my pup. Quality is great.

I first bought this same Untangler comb in the early 1980s. It worked like a charm for my Himalayan and the. After him, my Norwegian Forest Cat. Some of the times are bent so I decided to order a new one, happy to learn the company still makes this comb. When Inused the new comb I was surprised it barely got any fur from combing my Birman cat. I tried the old which I’d tossed in the trash, and good thing it was still there. On closer examination I noticed that the ends of the times are narrower on the original comb and thicker on the newer model. It barely gathers any fur. Sorry to have wasted 20. on it. Glad I still have the old one that works perfectly. Too bad they have changed manufacturing and it’s not as effective. Probably works for some cats and dogs.
