Compared to "other" pet groom brushes, this one has equal number of teeth on both sides. Most other brushes have one side with all the comb teeth, the other side half as many teeth (every other tooth missing). On very matted/knotted hair it is easier to get the fewer teeth through the hair and once removing the matted hair, you can then get the side with all the teeth to remove the remaining loose hair. The teeth are closer together (making it harder to get through mats) than other combs we have; that said, I thought it was well made, strong material (wood and steel), fit my hand well, nice long handle, a good value for the price point, and I would buy it again.

The shipping takes forever to arrive. The brush is solid and heavy, made from durable metal—not flimsy stainless steel. The wood handle feels sturdy as well. I tried it on my double-coat lab, and the brush catches a lot of the dead fur under his coat. It takes a bit of work because it's on the smaller side, but it gets the job done.

This thing pulls out loose undercoat like nobody's business. I have an older lab/husky mix who sheds like crazy, and just a couple strokes with this will pull out mounds of hair. I highly recommend you get your furbaby outside for this, as it 's going to remove a LOT of loose hair.The handle is a nice wood handle, it feels premium.I also found that you can run it along the carpet and it'll pick up hair well too! Highly recommend!

Deshedders have virtually eliminated my cats' hairballs. This is slightly narrower than another one I got last year and frankly I prefer this one for using on my cats. They love it. Ideal for long haired cats but I've used it on short haired cats too.

This set of grooming tools arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Each piece was individually wrapped to keep them pristine, and they each were distinct with its own purpose. The three combs were great for working through small knots and detangled without pulling out too much hair or causing pain to my pup. The brush made easy work of removing loose fluff and making my doggo look like he had been to the groomer.
