Step 1
Open the refill,pull in box.
Step 2
Pull out a bit of film, push it through the center of the cartridge.

Tie a knot at the bottom.
Step 4
Place the refill inside then push film to the bottom of the pail.

Please buy this product rather than the Litter Genie brand replacement bags!! Litter Genie brand name replacement bags come with ANOTHER plastic insert where the bags live, which you don’t need. There is no reason to replace that part—unless it literally cracked, the one you started with will still work just fine!! Just buy these bags and insert them into the same plastic square that you started with.These bags work great, save me MONEY and storage space and allow me not to waste plastic that I don’t even need. The quality is similar to Litter Genie bags. At least I don’t notice a difference. Even if they were a bit weaker, you could just not fill them up as much before taking them to the trash. Easy peasy!It might seem a little tricky at first as you learn how to get the bags into the slot in the plastic square thing, but trust me, you can definitely do it! I find it helpful to sit down, put the square between my knees and press inward on it (gently) with my knees, which allows the space to open slightly so you can work the bags into it. Then just rotate the square and repeat to get the bags into all four sides of the slot. (There might even be a YouTube video showing this—I wouldn’t be surprised!)I was so happy when I bought my first Litter Genie recently but very bummed when I found out they don’t sell the bags without getting ANOTHER square plastic piece that houses the bags. Why in the world would I need a new plastic square piece every time I purchase the bags?! The one I started with still works great!! That is so wasteful!!Then I discovered THIS product.

We’ve been using these for years and have never had an issue. So much cheaper than litter genie buy these if you need a pinch.

Not as wide as the official bags, so make sure to rip out the little lip on the holder if you don’t like going insane trying to squeeze a pillow back into the original packaging.Because not as wide, maybe actually worth 5 bags, but still a good deal. Feels a bit cheaper/thinner too, but of course it does. Also has a baby powder smell.Still a million times better than the insert that lets you use regular trash bags. #neveragain

Five stars because the bags are exactly what they’re supposed to be. They feel thin but I haven’t had an issue with any of them ripping. They work just like the regular litter genie bags. I’ve had no issue with smell, and they are just as easy to clean as the regular litter genie. However, they are incredibly hard to put into an old litter genie plastic container thing, which is no fault of these bags, that’s just how the litter genie was designed. If you don’t mind the struggle of installing it, then this is a great deal!

These bags do what they say they do overall. However, here are my issues.1. They're difficult to load into the cartridge.2. Although the bags themselves have a pleasant fresh smell, it doesn't last.3. Biggest complaint: The bags don't contain the smell at all. I have two litter boxes and two Litter Genies and while I was using these (up until yesterday), you could smell ammonia anytime you were near them.Working from home, it's not feasible to put them in the inside garbage after one bag is full... I had to take it to our outside garbage can or it would just make me sick from the smell.While the price is good for how many you get, and while the idea is great, the actual bag quality needs to be addressed. It holds the litter, but not the smell.I was having a hard time finding the refills from Litter Genie but found them Monday and ordered them. Got them replaced last night and it's like night and day. Don't waste your money on these.

Bought these bags for the litter genie. The price is outta control for the name brand lately so I decided to give these a try. They're a pain to get pushed into the plastic retainer. Once you get the hang of it's it's easy... But not fun! After using one roll they seem to last the same amount of time as the litter genie.. I don't think they contain the odor as well. And the first bag I had tied up to bring out to the garbage, broke! Hopefully it was a fluke and only happened once. The plastic just split.Would I buy them again, ugh probably not.. you definitely get what you pay for.

I love these bags. They’re so easy to replace, you just open the litter genie original plastic container and put these bags in. They have a nice scent too, nothing overpowering but I have noticed that they help with smell. Litter genie bags are unscented, I prefer these 100%. Will repurchase.

Luckily, I had saved a cartridge to refill. Once you get the replacement bags into the cartridge, it works great, and helps control the odor. I will and plan on ordering more in the future.
