Long scoop and wider space between the tines enables the scoop to process greater volume with each scoop and the litter falls through faster, shortening the time and effort to clean the litter. The straighter handle angle allows better alignment of hand/wrist force with the blade on the end for more quickly "plunging" the scoop in and less effort to lift up and allow litter to fall through. Less clogging of the scoop as crud gets stuck to it over time compared with standard scoop (I've had many), also less litter moves when doing it so less spilling litter out of the box when working quickly. Would like one of these made of metal - but they would never need to sell another one! This is pretty sturdy, mine only recently developed cracks after using it to clean up after 8 cats for 3.5 years. The wife puts too much litter in the box so deeper pile & more weight of litter to sift probably added more strain than it was designed for, so I am not deducting a star. I'm writing this review due to needing to buy another because of the wear from over 3 years of very heavy use. As to the remarks from other reviews complaining about the square corners not fitting rounded litter boxes, this is a compromise in the design to achieve the aforesaid performance, and is easily overcome with proper technique. Just aim well and jiggle a bit to coax the corner clumps into the scoop. It will take a little practice but totally worth the significant gain in time savings for an unpleasant chore.

Absolutely the best litter scoop bar none. Makes it so easy to scoop your favorite felines litter box. Wonderful price. I have multiple cats and these scoops last and work very easily. I have tried so many scoops until I found this one . I have never looked back. The greatest !

These scoops are very durable. They don't flex when you dig in the litter. The long slots let the litter flow thru very quickly.Literally the best litter scoop I've ever had. I won't buy any other kind now! They do break eventually, but they last several years. I have 3 cats.

I think I’m beginning to bore and weird out my friends/family with my ravings on this litter scooper so it’s time for a review!! I’ve used different kinds from ones that extend so I don’t have to bend, to sole with longer handles, metal, plastic, etc. but this one is a winner!!!! I saw a video on YouTube by AllAboutCatsYT and couldn’t understand the hype about this scooper so I bought it on a whim since I hated the extendable scooper I got (fyi don’t get those you still have to bend cause the darn things never stay extended). I was so shocked by how well it performed. It was able to scrape the bottom of the litter box because my old gal has kidney issues and pees a ton. This is something that every previous scooper I’ve used sucked at. Due to its design the scooper also didn’t waste a whole bunch of excess litter and it was easy to shake off “salvageable” litter and collect the waste perfectly (this inflation is killing me with the cat supplies). I use Dr. Elsey litter with this and the litter box is so nice, clean, and has had a noticeable difference in smell because it really scrapes off the bottom of the box. The handle is nice too. At first I thought the scooper portion was excessively long and would break but it is really sturdy and doesn’t feel like cheap plastic. It’s also comfortable to hold and easy to clean!

Works great and lasts a long time! Heavy duty, catches more of the clumps then most scoopers, it's light and easy to use. Super sturdy, colorful, makes cleaning the cat litter boxes and quick.

Don't waste your time with any other scoop. This one will get all the clumps out of your litter with minimal digging. I use chick starter feed as cat litter and the clumps break apart easily when shaken. With my cheap old scoop from Petco, I would get a whole shovel full of litter and shake it vigorously only to have the pee clumps break and fall back into the litter box with the clean litter. Within a week, my litter box smelled awful. After I got a Litter Lifter, I was able to get clumps out with no problem and minimal shaking. I was able to find several clumps I had missed with my old scoop after I went digging in my . The Clevercat Litter Box is quite big. To fill it up to 4 to 6 inches with natural litter, I use maybe 7-10 pounds of it at a time. Before with the old scoop, I would spend 5 minutes digging, shaking, and sifting for clumps, now I only spend max 2 minutes per litter box. I keep a litter lifter next to each of my litter boxes.I've had the same litter for maybe 3 weeks and after I scoop out clumps, the box still smells clean like I just swapped in new litter. There are some minor problems with this scoop. I do wish they made this scoop in a metal version. The plastic seems a little cheap and will probably snap on me. Also, I wish the scoop were less wide. There's always little pieces of residual litter for me because I don't try to shake my clumps too much in order to save time. The scoop is so large, when I go to dump the clumps into my Litter Genie (), some little pieces of residual litter miss the opening to the Litter Genie and falls on the floor. If the scoop were a little more narrow, I would be able to direct everything into the pail. I don't have this problem with clay litter because it clumps very tight and the clean litter falls right through, but natural litter granules are a little bigger and some do get stuck on the scoop.Still even with this slight flaw, I will never go back to any other litter scoop. Highly recommend!
