It took longer for these cards to arrive than I'd hoped, but they were carefully packed once they did. They arrived in pristine condition and were immediately ready for use. For some reason, I thought the cards were larger, but they are the same size as regular playing cards.I'm a person who has tons of apps loaded on my iPhone. I found it interesting to use these cards instead of listening to calming inspiration on my PQ Gym or my Calm apps. But I ordered the cards because I wanted to give it a shot. I was also intrigued by the fact that the exercises are as physical as well as mental. The cards are well-made and of heavy weight, and I found no typographical errors. Not that it should matter all that much, but those little nits sometimes catch my attention. The cards are very easy to read, and the instructions are clear and easy. The exercises are also very fast, which is an advantage. After you've learned the exercises, there's no reason you can't do them throughout the day. As an example, I love the Ball on Foot exercise. It is so easy and quick to do I can do it off and on at work with a ball under my desk. I love this one.I also love the Toe Tapping exercise. Again, you can do this at work or even at night when watching streaming or movies. It is so simple to do, but it really does help.I placed the deck on my nightstand next to my bed and pulled a card every morning after waking up. It is a good time to do the exercises. I may also draw a card in the middle of a stressful day if I need some meditation time or some space. The cards are very convenient to pop into my handbag or a carryon bag for travel. You may not be able to do all the exercises in a car, but some can you could do. It could definitely ease the stress of travel. These exercises were well designed and can help anyone who doesn't like to exercies (me) with motivation and accountability. These cards may not be an app on your smart device but they are a smart purchase. They would also make a great gift for your favorite highly stressed couch potatoes.5+

I ordered these for a friend who wants to explore the idea of somatics and pair it with stress reduction. These cards are great because they simplify the movements and make it easy to pick exactly what you want to do and not have to think too much. Overall I think it's a nice little addition to anyone's self-care regimen.

I took a single-day class on somatic therapy once and wanted to continue the practice, but I knew I wouldn't be able to remember all the details.I got a book on somatic therapy, but just never found myself grabbing it, let alone taking the time to read through and choose exercises. (Thanks, ADHD!)This was the PERFECT solution. There's something so satisfying about being able to just grab a card and do whatever it says. I'm sure you could use these to design a full practice session and plan it in advance, but for me, it works best to let the fates pick an exercise for me by randomly choosing a card. The cards are well made and the exercises/practices are easy to understand, even for people without a lot of experience in somatic therapy.

I love the idea behind this deck of cards but the illustrations don't always match or reflect the stretch that is being described. For example, the card for a "lunge stretch" shows an image of a regular lunge with the back knee bent and touching the ground. The description for the "lunge stretch" says not to bend the knee of the back leg and to stretch it out. That confused me and I would prefer the visual to match the description. There are only a few cards like that but that needs improvement.

These are really nice. I like that I can shuffle and grab a random card to do for the day. Nice way to start the day.

I am a licensed therapist and I found these cards to be helpful during sessions. These cards give the title of the exercise, why it's helpful, the duration, and instructions on how to do the exercise on the back of the card. There are 42 glossy cards in total.

I’m still getting acquainted with this set of cards, but I like what I see so far. The quality of the cards is good, but the box is a bit tight to open, so care should be taken so that you don’t tear it. I really like the premise of just picking a card and doing that thing that’s on it. They exercises aren’t difficult and they are varied. Overall, I like the set of exercise cards… a lot. I like the premise, the quality and the motivation that they provide. I’d buy these again.

I actually got this deck for myself, I figured it was a draw a card each day and do the exercise on it. Anything help. But I was surprised to see that it's more than that. While the concept of picking a random card and doing the instructed move is at the core, there are several different categories you could randomly land on. Sometimes it may be a stretch out for 5 mins with the back side of the card giving detailed and friendly direction on how to perform it.Somatic (I had to look it up) basically means body exercises as opposed to mind, body and soul. If find, and welcomed it also includes some mind excersizing as well such as writing or guided imagery. Of course you can break the deck to its color coded categories if you want to be less random about doing either full body moves or some yoga style stretching.Regardless, it's a very postive and fun thing to put in your daily routine. The time it takes is as low as 3 mins and most around 8 to 10 (I haven't made my way through the entire deck yet). I choose to mix them all up and let fate tell me what I should do each morning. It's really cool and nothing but postitivity here.

My go-to tool for managing stress. As someone who often feels the weight of daily anxiety, these 42 exercises have been incredibly helpful in grounding me and reducing tension. I love that each card gives clear, easy-to-follow steps, making it simple to integrate into my routine. The best part is that the exercises only take a few minutes, so I can use them anytime, whether I’m at home or even on a busy workday. The deck is compact and portable, which makes it easy to carry around for those moments when I need to reconnect with my body and calm my mind.

There is so much around right now about somatic exercise so I thought I would give these cards a try. There 42 cards in all, each with a different exercise affecting the release of tension in a specific part of the body. They are larger in size than a regular pack of playing cards, but they do have a lot more information to give. Rather than doing a whole quick exercise regime the idea is that you can choose the exercises to tailor your current physical situation and available time. I wasn't sure how to use these, but decided depending on my time, I would shuffle and choose randomly from the pack 3,4 or 5 cards commit to those exercises for the day. This works for me. The cards give a description of each exercise and how to do it and for how many repetitions. I can see the value in these; sometimes you have limited time for exercise and can't decide how best to spend it, and before you've made a decision, the time has all gone. Commit to however you want to use them and you will benefit from the effort and time spent. Great idea and would recommend.

I think the value packed in this card set is absolutely immense.I boasts dozens of exercises, from physical stretching, to breathing - all providing positive mental and physical effects.I am not sure what isn't to like with this? Full color, well made cards make up the set. I suppose for the price, it would have been nice to see included some of the tools needed for the exercises - such as a ball for the 'ball on foot' card.

These cards have been a real find and have actually been far more successful than expected. I have tried meditation via various apps but I’ve quickly become bored with them and then give up. As other reviewers have found I’ve found that it’s a good idea to pick the cards randomly. The cards give a good explanation of how to approach the exercises and none of them are so complicated that it’s a chore to do them. I’m thinking of buying some for members of the family for Christmas so I’d definitely recommend them.
