I purchased the ball head for a tripod conversion but, not for a camera. I’m using it for a night hunting on a bog death grip tripod. It holds my night ar with all the accessories. I made a bushing to mount it after removing the clamp apparatus. Works great for a fraction of the cost of ball heads advertised for hunting.

Simply put.....it is a great buy and you get what you are paying for at a much less price than a different head from a leading manufacturer. I have one expensive one and then this Cavix head and this does everything the other head can do. Pair it will a stable tripod and you have a great deal. I just used this in a pop up blind on an axis hunt and it performed extremely well....pan and scan and it is smooth. What a great buy I made and I can use it for the spotting scope if I want to while I use the other Vortex Radian for the rifle if that is what I need/want.
