Due to arthritis I have difficulty winding my yarn by hand. I was hesitant to purchase this electric yarn winder but I am so glad that I did. It was easy to assemble and comes with an adapter to plug it in. You can adjust the speed by turning the knob from slow to fast, faster, fastest. The tension for different yarn weights can be adjusted by eliminating a tension point. I wound a super wash merino DK weight and got a professional looking yarn cake. I will be using it next to wind my sock yarn that will be coming off of a swift. Caydo does recommend a plastic swift and not a wooden one, so I did purchase a plastic one. I don't wind my yarn until I'm ready to use it, so I'll have to wait and see how it does then. But, so far, so good.

Received my Caydo Yarn Winder Pro yesterday and enjoyed winding my loose yarn into nice little cakes. It worked smoothly, all parts were received, cakes came out good. I am disappointed that my cakes didn't have a center pull for the yarn as shown on their previous model but will live with it. The other thing I noticed was the tension areas didn't hold my yarn, the yarn kept slipping out but it didn't seem to affect the way the yarn cakes. All in all, I highly recommend.

This is a great yarn winder.Easy to put together. Easy to use. Has a video tutorial on how to put the yarn on it for winding.I would recommend this.

I've found this product to be very helpful and so much easier than my old manual crank one. It can wind a skein of yarn in around 4 minutes, and does a great job. I found customer support from this company to be fantastic. When I had a mishap with the winder I ordered, they were kind enough to reach out to me and replace the one I had damaged.I highly recommend giving this winder a spin (yes, pun intended!)

Not going to lie, I was impressed initially with the setup. The way it secures the yarn works really well and keeps it in a good spot. The first few times I used it, it worked great. It began to start pausing randomly for no reason and the yarn started skipping and causing tangles. Eventually it began lagging each time it spun around, and then stopping where I needed to turn it off and turn it back on again in order to get it going again. Now, when I use it, I have to sit by it and watch because it stops so often. If you want something that works great for the first two times you use it, this is a good idea. Otherwise, I’d go to something else. This product was my first venture into electric yarn winders and I’m honestly thoroughly disappointed with the longevity and durability of the product. Not worth the price that you pay for it, that’s for sure.
