Long distance gift for a child; not able to assess if all metal bars in tune with each other, or at what MHz they are tuned to (e.g. 443, 442, etc; 442 is preferred). Child is happy with gift.

Very nice bell set but didn't work for us since our school required a larger set. We ended up having to shop local for an appropriate set for our grade school music requirement.

This little instrument is great. I use it all the time to play random melodies in the living room.Good clean tone, tuned good. Sounds very nice. I am a studio musician and use this in some recordings. Case is a bonus.

My son signed up for a percussion class at school and we had to go searching for equipment. I tried finding and bidding for equipment on eBay and also went to the local music store to look at renting. Cost-wise, this ended up being the best choice. As I understand it (and my understanding is newbie at best for this area) this is a good, basic model. For us, it was a better choice (price and equipment-wise) to go with a basic model that was new than to venture into the variable model, used world.

My son plays the saxophone in the high school band but wanted to teach himself some percussion. This is a great beginner set he enjoys playing it. I love that it comes with a case allowing him to easily transport it while keeping it protected.
