Be aware that these pads are DIRECTIONAL with an arrow on the backing plate for Audi VW D840 versions! Arrow faces up for going into the direction of travel which is forward!Ceramic pads will have a longer life and more bite than organic metal pads but will wear down your rotors quicker so always keep that in mind.

I've changed brakes for years and tried this brand. After driving for 30 miles, my passenger side wheel began to spew white smoke. At first I thought it was a seized caliper but was able to move the tire freely by hand (once everything cooled and jacking up the car). Also took tire off and was able to easily see that front disc had a little movement about an inch forward and backwards. All this tells me it was not a seized brake caliper causing the smoke and overheating but the cause were most likely these pads.The pads probably started breaking down, causing dust and then eventually "closing" the gap between the rotor and the pad causing smoke and overheating.Just replaced my front brake pads with name brand Bosch pads and drove almost 100 miles with no problems! These pads are not good and can be dangerous due to the smoking and overheating problem (fire hazard). Amazon should discontinue selling this brand.
