Nice and small for my night stand, or any place it might be wanted. Great sound and plenty of volume! Easy to operate, looks great, plenty of extras to plug in, operate off of a battery, hook up to other items and the remote works great. I am very pleased with this little unit!!

Monodeal MD-706 CD playerI previously purchased another Monodeal product and was very pleased with it, so I decided to give this multifunctional CD player a try when it caught my eye. It seemed a bit pricey, but it has a lot to offer! I was looking for something for my bedroom and I liked the clean, compact, contemporary look of its oval design that measures approximately 7.5 X 5.5 inches. It is lightweight but yet solid and sturdy, very easy to operate, and comes with a detailed illustrated owner's manual in several languages (only 2.5-3 pages per each). READ THAT FIRST to discover its many features and for proper operation. Also included in addition to the CD player and the REMOTE CONTROL is a FREE REPLACEMENT WARRANTY registration card with email instructions (it is not covered if you don't mail it but save your card), USB-to-C cable, AC adapter, a rechargeable 3.7 volt 2000 mAH battery (inside the player), a 3.5 to 3.5 mm double ended auxiliary cable for phone/headphones etc., and a collapsible 11.5 inch antenna for FM reception that secures at the back of the player when not in use to prevent breakage. Below the antennae on the back of the player you will find a C-port, headphone/phone/speaker auxiliary port, USB port, and the on/off black master switch (that must be on FIRST to operate the device). Press the round button on top of the player to open it to insert your CD. I liked that it opens at 45 degrees rather than a 90 degree angle because there is less chance for lid damage/breakage, yet there is ample room to insert the CD safely. Close the lid until you hear it lock in place. Volume range is from 1-20. It is perfect for your car or any room in your home or on the patio, but not best for larger spaces like gyms, auditoriums, or large meeting halls UNLESS you connect to a larger speaker. The rechargeable mAH battery enables playback for up to 12 hours after charging 3-4 hours before use.All main control buttons are on the top right side: "Standby" (on/off), 5 Modes (CD/Bluetooth/USB/FM radio/Aux), Volume, and Equalizer is for best for full dimensional sound by music type: (Pop/Jazz/Rock/Classical/BBS). I always use the equalizer so my music isn't flat! Your selections are displayed in the front LCD window. You will also find buttons for BT/TX (Bluetooth transmission), Previous/Rewind arrow, Next/Fast Forward arrow, Play/Resume, Pause/Stop. With Bluetooth capability this device enables BOTH Bluetooth INPUT/RECEPTION from phones and other devices and OUTPUT/TRANSMISSION to other devices including BIGGER speakers!A video is offered on Amazon for Bluetooth support for this device, type the following into the Amazon search bar: Monodeal MD706 BT Tx pairing video demonstration.In the long run, this is a great deal, and you will have no regrets! The Monodeal MD-706 Boombox CD player is a great little player. Not really a boombox in the original meaning of the term but a nice little counter top player. They pack a lot into this little package. This device has 5 playback modes. CD players can be a little hard to find these days and this one works well. It also has an FM radio. When you first set it to this mode, the player will do an auto scan and store any stations it can pick up. I'm not in the best location for picking up radio stations and this player was still able to find and store 20 different stations. I had hoped for a little better reception but still think it works pretty good considering my bad location.The one thing I would have liked is the ability to manually add/delete stations after the scan but that's a minor complaint. There is also an AUX mode (cable included!) but I don't have any devices with an AUX jack so I couldn't test this but see no reason it wouldn't have worked. There is also a USB mode so you can insert a flash drive with music and play it through this device. Worked as expected.There is also a Bluetooth mode which is actually 2 modes. You can connect your phone or other bluetooth capable device and use this player as a speaker to play music from your phone. But this player also has a Bluetooth TX mode which allows you to connect it to a bluetooth speaker or headphones and listen to your CDs or radio through those devices. Pretty slick! It did take a while to pair my devices but it finally did and worked well.This does come with a remote control as well which is very convenient. But I'd have to say the biggest surprise for me was the sound from this device. Considering it's small size which of course means small speakers, the sound is quite good! It also can get pretty loud which again was a surprise. There are also 5 EQ sound effects (BBS, POP, JAZZ, ROCK & CLASSIC) which I've never really used on other devices that had a similar feature and probably won't use them on this one either but that is just personal taste...you may like them so try them out.So, all in all, a very nice CD player that hopefully will have a long life and I can enjoy it for many years to come.
