After reading a dozen reviews of people saying this box doesn't work on the 200ES, I had a chance to try for myself.If you just plug it in, you will have no spark and the neutral light may not come on. The secret is to remove the gray wire and it's terminal from the connector (shrink sleeve it, cut it, whatever). Pull up a wiring diagram of the CDI pigtail from the 200ES (which is exclusive to only the 200ES) and another diagram for all the other models (which all share a completely different diagram) and lay them out side by side. You will notice that the connector is the same between the two but the wires are different colors. When you read the description of what each wire does, you will see that the 200ES has all the same wires as the other models, its wires are just pinned into the connector differently and the wire colors are different. Release all the terminals from your 200ES CDI connector and reinstall them into the connector to match the pigtail in the other diagram.If the rest of your ignition system is working properly you will get spark and it will start. The neutral and reverse indicator lights will work as well so you won't be sacrificing any factory functions to get away with using this cheap CDI box.So far I have swapped three 200ES machines to this CDI box over the span of a few years and they are all still running great.

This does not work on 1985 trx 125 no spark and neutral light and reverse light on at same time.

Being an ATV repair shop owner for well over 20 years, this is the 1st time to purchase an aftermarket CDI box that did not work as configured out of the box on the near reaching extinction 1984 ATC200ES.What FAST EDDIE said in his review is correct, other than being really vague about the wires to swap without a lot of research.To put it short, the GRAY wire MUST be removed from plug going into the CDI box (cut it or un pin it and pull up into the rubber sleeve of the plug as it does have power to it... found the hard way, LOL), then, to achieve spark, you must swap the BLACK wire position with the BLACK/RED wire position in the plug going into the CDI box. (a Terminal pin removal set found on Amazon is inexpensive and makes it easier to accomplish this task)This CDI box as configured will work correctly on the 1985-86 TRX125.

It will work on a Honda ATC200ES But, you have to change some wires around in the plug in order to make it work. The ES model is different from all other Honda's

Does not work, at least not on a 1984 ATC200ES Big Red. No spark.

Swapped the 2 wires around like everyone stated. It does start with a little throttle but wants to back fire, extremely low power and won't idle on its own. Swapped wires back and installed old one and fires right up. Any suggestions?
