This fan is a great item for smaller spaces where you don't have the ability to install or retrofit to use a true ceiling fan. This mighty little device has multiple colors and brightness of light, and the built-in fan WITH air freshener disc option, helps circulate enough air in smaller spaces to reduce staleness. We're using this in a partially finished basement in the storage/workout area and it's made a big different in the experience of being down there. The only issue I had is that the "new" battery in the included remote didn't work when the tab was pulled. I tried to adjust it, but still wasn't working. So I don't know how long it's been sitting on a shelf for the battery to already be dead. They did, however, send a replacement.
