About this item

  • PREMIUM ED OBJECTIVE LENSES: Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) glass virtually eliminates chromatic aberration or color fringing, a visual defect common in binoculars. You'll enjoy razor-sharp images with outstanding, true-to-life color.
  • XLT LENS COATINGS: All air-to-glass surfaces are multi-coated with Celestron’s proprietary XLT coatings – the same ones we use on our observatory-class telescopes. XLT maximizes light transmission through the optical path for brighter images.
  • PERFECT VIEWING ANGLES: Use your spotting scope with the included 22-67x zoom eyepiece or any 1.25” astronomical eyepiece. Regal M2 ED’s rotating tripod mount allows you to position the eyepiece at the most comfortable viewing angle.
  • FIELD-WORTHY ACCESSORIES INCLUDED: The Celestron Regal M2 100ED includes a padded view-through case, an objective cover, eyepiece cover, a T-mount adapter for attaching your DSLR camera for digiscoping, and more.
  • UNBEATABLE WARRANTY & CUSTOMER SUPPORT: Buy with confidence from Celestron, a leading optics brand in California since 1960. Your purchase includes a Celestron Limited Lifetime US Warranty & US-based expert tech support.

I purchased the Celestron Regal m2 100 and found it to be a very well constructed device. The body is made from magnesium. The sunshade deploys very smoothly and protects the objective lenses from glare. The focus mechanism is two pieces, course and fine and operates very smoothly. Picture quality at the lower power settings is excellent. At 60 power the image softens slightly. Because of this, I purchased a Baader Mk 4 eyepiece to go with it. Now the optic quality is outstanding. Even at the highest power. It is large and requires a robust tripod, but it provides a crystal clear view. Very happy with my purchase.
A Person With An Opinion

I purchased the Regal M2 100ED as a quick grab scope for astronomy. I have thoroughly evaluated the sharpness of images at 22-67x and have found that the sharpness is exceptionally well. One of the main reasons that I opted for the Regal over the Ultima was the 1.25" eyepiece housing. I have tried a few of my other eyepieces, and have had very good success in their performance. The two of the eyepieces that I used to determine the range of magnification was my Orion Status 5mm (108x) and 3.5mm (154x). My target was a backyard flood light. My findings were at 108x that the image was very sharp. The light covering had a distinctive pattern that was easily visible. At 154x, the light covering was still fairly sharp and the pattern was still visible, but seemed to have lost some of the distinctiveness that was present at 108x. I can not honestly evaluate if it was the clarity of image or the light's luminosity that caused the loss clarity. Overall, I think the Regal is a very well made spotting scope that will perform very well in the night skies.

Function, build and value for money. Great product.

The telescope is excellent, ergonomics, sharpness, performance are at the rendezvous. An excellent price-quality ratio, there is not really equivalent to this price, for such a performance. Aesthetics is also very nice. The object deserves its 5 stars without hesitation, although I would not say the same for the tripod Celestron 82052, a little complicated to mount and especially to adjust. Stability is essential when you raise x40 or more. I would have prefered to take another tripod than the one recommended because of the documentation that is not clear enough for its complexity of the tripod. Anyway, the purchase of the Regal M2 100 ED can be made eyes closed.

I saved a bit because the box was damaged. This is a 4 inch telescope. The zoom ring works smoothly. The focus knobs aren’t hard to to turn. This is important because you stay on your object. The image is quite clear. It is very good for a moderately priced spotting scope. You will need a good tripod. I like it overall.

I was considering the $4.5K Zeiss. I do not see that anything can be better than this 1000mm Celestron at $800.

Everything looked great when I opened the box. Didn’t look like it was even used. Went to try it out. The glass was scratched so bad and the glass was out of place. Lucky Amazon is great with returns.

When I received the scope, I mounted it on my tripod right away, attached the body of my Nikon digital D7500 SLR on it, and started taking pictures. The images were sharp even at maximum zoom. However, I soon started noticing some fringing around the edge of objects in the pictures. I thought it was because of focusing problems with my camera, and went to make some manual adjustments. That was when I noticed some wiggling of the camera, even though it felt solidly attached when I first put it on. I was letting go of the camera when suddenly, the eyepiece detached from the scope body and fell with my attached camera into my hand! After my nerves had settled down, I looked to see what happened. The problem was with the BASEPLATE that is permanently mounted on the scope body, and to which the eyepiece itself screws onto. This baseplate had come loose from the scope body, where it was supposed to be held in place with a screw mount and glue from the inside of the scope. The bottom line is that it was not something that I could easily fix. Thank goodness I bought the scope from Amazon, and was able to return it with a minimum of fuss. However, despite being able to get my money back, I am quite unnerved about what could have happened, and feel obliged to let other people know about this potentially disastrous defect with the scope. I shudder to think what could have happened to my $1700 camera if my hand was not underneath! Celestron should NOT be making a scope where such a calamitous failure can occur. If they can fix this flaw, they will have an excellent scope where you get a lot of bang for the buck. Until then, anyone wishing to buy this scope for use with a camera would be better off looking elsewhere.

It's hard to see how you could find a better scope it's super easy to zoom quickly works great at all the magnifications. Birds you cant see with the naked eye come up so well you can see every detail I have yet to test it on the moon and I only had a little go at digiscoping but all seemed well, my only negative would be it cant see things really close like the more expensive scopes but at a third of the price its everything I wanted and more.

Recomendable.Exactitud en la fecha de envió.
