It's easy to mount and the instructions are easy to follow:
Walk around your yard till the highest signal strength is received on your phone (2-5 bars). Once you ascertain the best location then mount the outdoor antenna. Make sure the outdoor antenna is above 15ft off of ground,at least 6ft away from metal building and aims at your phone carrier's tower
Place the booster in the house where is near from the power socket and have good ventilation. Connect the indoor antenna to the INDOOR of the booster, make sure the indoor is above 28ft away from outdoor antenna and a wall between them. Don't plug it in till the final step

What it's good for...If you have bad cell service in your home it can improve it somewhat, but unless you have the worst service quality (dropped calls, slow browsing/mobile gaming, or no WiFi service via home internet) it will be valuable, but if you already have decent service don't expect it to be a miracle worker. Not for everyone
