I built my truck with budget in mind. After dropping it I realized the carrier bearing was bad went to the local parts and was shocked at the price. I decided to check with Amazon as always and there it was for way less. Fast delivery and the part was exactly what I needed and the quality was amazing. I have built quite a few trucks using Amazon and saved a lot doing so.

It is the same exact part as the original that came on my 2000 Silverado 5.3L extended cab, material and quality it's of a good expectancy, my old carrier bearing was only damaged on the Rubber section but the whole unit needs to be replace with out a doubt obviously. I had a local shop do the removal and installation of jut the bearing since I did not have the right tools to do it myself, I removed the driveline shafts myself do. Price is right.

This was a royal pain in the ass to change without a press, but it’s doable. It takes a few hours to carefully cut the old one off. Putting the new one on is straightforward. Put the driveshaft in a vice and buy 1.5†exhaust pipe or 1.25†pvc pipe. The pvc fit snug over the splines and fit the i.d. Of the bearing perfectly. The id of the bearing is 1 3/8†(1.375) or 35mm. I used a block of wood and mini sledge, and the bearing was on and seated fast. I’ll update the review after I drive a few months. I changed this bearing because of a vibration at 75mph. I could move the driveshafts by hand at the center bearing.
