I ordered a grill grate that was too large to fit in the lower portion of my grill above the burner, so I was afraid I would not get to use the briquettes. I ended up placing the briquettes on top of the original grill plate then I placed the new grill grate on top. I've only used it once but the briquettes worked great with no flare ups!

A good addition to my old gas grill. My Weber’s grate had rusted into, I replaced it and added the bricks and it works like new. Feels good to rehab instead of replacing.

I bought these ceramic briquettes to replace the old lava rocks. I also bought a metal grate to put the briquettes on. My old BBQ grill did not come with one so I got one. The amount of ceramic briquettes that I received came with 60 and I had 5 left over. No were broken. It appears that it holds the heat better, but I won't know till I BBQ more times.

I just replaced my gas grill's burner, so I am using these briquettes to replace the old burnt-up crusty briquettes that were in my grill. These new briquettes arrived very well-packed and none were broken other than a few very small chips on the corners of a few...there were no cracks down the middle and 95% or more were perfect and other 5% were perfectly usable. My old briquettes were shaped like a piece of charcoal with the top and bottom slightly curved so they did not sit great on the metal grate above the burner. These new Mr. Bar-B-Q briquettes are flat on the bottom which makes the new briquettes much easier to place on the lower metal grate just above the burner, and the flat bottom makes these new briquettes more stable and they won't get bounced/shuffled around if I have to move my grill a short distance. The flame with the new burner and these new briquettes is very consistent and I'm glad I made these improvements to my grill.

I ordered 2 boxes and both had broken Briquettes. However, Amazon customer service was able to help out with some discount. So far they seem radiating the heat and make my grill much hotter, but not sure about their longevity or durability. Hope they last much longer.

These little briquettes are exactly what my old grill needed. It so much better now, heat is more even, and retains heat better, so it gets a little hotter. Awesome.
