Just had to write a review for this product. These old re38 cerwin Vegas were really showing their age. They have been my favorite speakers ever, since purchased.So old can't even remember when I purchased them. Estimated more than 25 years ago.Luckily somehow the foam had not completely feel apart. They were however heading that way fast. I took off the covers getting ready to clean and move them. While setting up a new atmos system. I was extremely surprised to see the red part of the foam was cracked and peeling off the black inner layer. Never seen foam on speakers come apart quite like that.I was going to just replace the woofers with a set of Kickers. That I found while looking for a possible new set of these.They stopped making these a long time ago. I got very lucky and ran into this product online.Simply put, Awesome price and top notch quality. Anyone looking to repair a set of speakers. They have this available for multiple sizes and brands. Great instructions included and video to watch online. The glue is super strong and dries in one hour, according to instructions. I let them dry for more than 5 hours. While moving stuff around.Surprised how easy it was. Really brought them back to life. Wanted to shout out a huge thanks to all the people. That are working for the company, and putting products like this out there. These old baby's are shaking the walls, and rattling the windows once again.THANKS!!!!!!!!

I have never written a review on anything I have purchased on amazon, but I have to commend this product. I bought a set of these thinking I was probably just wasting some $$ trying to salvage an 18 year old set of DX-9 vegas that the wife was insisting I just throw away. I must say, I am impressed with the item. I watched the companies how to video before they came just to prepare myself on what needed to be done. I had all of my supplies by the time they got here, and had both speakers cleaned up and re-foamed in about 2 hours. (including the glue drying time) the actual install time was maybe 20-30mins per speaker, with the bulk of that time on the first stage of cleaning the old foam and glue off and glueing the foam to the speaker cone. After all the glue was dry and I reinstalled them in the cabinet, they sounded just as good as I remembered them. Only down side was that they thumped so hard that the old cabinet box began rattling and I had to apply some wood glue and trim screws into the backside of the box to keep it from rattling.I would recommend trying these if you have an old set of speakers with deteriorating foam, for $30 it was worth it. It has been several months now since I repaired the speakers, and they are holding up great, and between myself, the kids and yes the wife :) they get used at least every other day.

These fit perfect and it was fairly easy to get them on. If I were to be able to do 2 or 3 more of them, I'd be pretty good at it and they would look nearly perfect! Best thing is that the voice coils both lined up perfectly with these and the reassembled speakers sound perfect! Money well spent!

We needed to repair one of our Cerwin Vega Speaker foam edges. This kit arrived within a day or two of my order and it was the perfect fit. It comes with an instruction sheet that contains pictures from a You Tube video. We read the sheet and watched the video. We cleaned off the old foam as the video instructed and had the speaker repaired within a couple of days. The video said the glue needed to dry for 24 hours, but the glue that came with this kit actually set within an hour. We waited a day anyway, but the speaker is now like new. I highly recommend this kit from Simply Speakers.

I ended up needing to refoam an old school pair of Pyle woofers that no one seemed to know anything about. Was hard to find anything about them or what size foam I needed. Even pyle couldn't tell me when I gave them the model numbers. Well after some measuring found these were the closest match to what I needed to replace.

Take it to a shop , they say no alignment needed . BS . I researched this product and ya if you rebuild speakers everyday then ya it's great . But the company that sells it and there website said anyone can do it . Not true . Don't waste your time . I have cervin vega 15" . Installe the kit which states will self adjust total bs , thanks for wasting my time dip s . P.S. I called a local shop it would have been $20 more for a pro install . Ohh well , the kit is good quality but not for beginner like w electrical engineering degree lmao

Worked well for me. Only problem I had was not enough glue for my 15" cone X2. Could just be me.Order more glue at the same time.

The item was of good quality but for some reason my order was sent as two items and also charged me for two. I only ordered and only wanted one. And now I requested a refund but it is unrefundable and unreturnable…. So what now??
