I've always been a fan of Cerwin Vega speakers and I was in the market for a subwoofer but I don't have the space. I mounted this to the rear firewall of my truck and it sounds great! My current system is lacking the low side and this helped tremendously. I can't say that it will rattle the neighbors house or the car in the next lane but it does sound good. It was fairly easy to install but the plug for the power/ground/remote was a bit finicky, they are too close to each other and I was afraid it would short out it they should come in contact. The set screw used to anchor the wires are a little bit on the small size, even for 8awg wiring kit. I had to solder the end of the copper wired to make sure that I have a good connection that won't fall out of the harness. I would buy this again, highly recommended.

I would say this is prefect if your looking for a “adult†sound upgrade. If you want to shake your truck and let everyone feel your bass obviously move on to 2 12s. But if you’re looking to upgrade your basic stereo system to what I would call a factory high end system this is for you. Good clean bass with most songs. It will take some adjustments to get the right bass and sound but it will be a improvement if your patient enough. Prefect for trucks and suvs but I feel like it would be pointless unless it was in a cab, a trunk would probably block most the bass. If this thing lasts it will be 100% worth the money. Will update if anything changes!

This powered subwoofer is good for the price. If you’re looking for something to give you good lows but not break the bank this is for you. It fit very well behind the back seat of my 2014 F150 Super Crew.

If you’re not looking for glass rattling bass but want something clear to finish off the complete sound this unit won’t disappoint. Well worth the money. Def recommend..Added notes:I purchased this on Jan 14 and it made it to July 11 before blowing. Did it give me that extra bass I was looking for? Yes. It sounded great up til now. I didn’t think I’d need to buy the extended warranty with my experience I had in the past w Cerwin Vega. But it is what it is. I’m not saying don’t buy one but think about the warranty just in case. Yes I know it was under $200 but still wouldn’t think of it blowing this quickly. And no I didn’t have it full blast that often in case you were wondering..lolUpdate: I contacted the seller and is exchanging it for me. Super easy to deal with very quick responses. Very appreciative of the easy process.

Tucked away nicely and sounds fantastic. Impressive bass from such a compact speaker. And it fits exactly into a pocket in the back of the passenger quarterpanel of a 1987-1991 Bronco. Perfect speaker for my application.My gain is at half and I used the wired control dial included, keeping that at 2/3 -3/4 usually.It does get hot after about an hour of play, as mentioned in some other posts. This would not deter me from buying another however. If you want to shake for more than an hour you need a bigger system anyway.I did install a small fan:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072HJ38PS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1I put this right next to it in the pocket and powered it off of the blue and black, so it starts blowing when the stereo fires up. Not sure how much it will help, but it looks nice, is quiet, and who cares.

I had hoped that Cerwin Vega would have placed a quality product in the low-profile powered sub market. I remember them having excellent sounding home speakers in the 70's and 80's. But unfortunately, they should have stayed out of this particular game. Not much good I can say about this sub. Constantly going into thermal protect mode, even when the input signal is leveled to 0.9v via my LCi2 pro input converter. I don't even know where to really begin, but this is not a product that I would endorse from either a sound or performance perspective. Maybe others will disagree, but I feel as if I purchased a $200 doorstop. Will be taking out of my truck and finding something better. Should not be hard to do, because Cerwin Vega seems to have set the bar fairly low.

Bought this for my Armada after the factory Bose subscription failed. I snipped the harness plug off the bose sub, and simply used that on the new sub. Made install a breeze. This sub is much louder and more capable than the OEM Bose unit. That said its important to set your expectations here. In my past I've had some monster subwoofer/car stereo setups. This is not that.This speaker will round out the bass and give your music fullness. If thats what you're looking for this is spot on. If you're looking to shake your neighbors windows, this speaker won't do it. In short, its a subwoofer for adults who like music, but dont want to compromise the space for a real sub box.Bass head teens and early 20's will want to look elsewhere.

This Cerwin Vega powered sub has nice power, great overall sound enhancement for the F150 stock stereo, good value when compared to other upgrades researched. Quality product.
