A Brief History of Chamois
Original chamois came from the skin of a mountain antelope (the chamois). As the antelope are now protected, the best chamois now sold is made from spit sheepskin, tanned by marine oils in the skin. Our sheepskin chamois is tanned with 100% cod oil, acknowledged as the best for this purpose.

Using and Caring for Your Sheepskin Chamois
- Before using the chamois for the first time, you have to thoroughly wash it with warm soapy water until the rinse water no longer has a yellow tint. DO NOT USE degreasing soap or harsh chemicals.
- Before each use for car cleaning, a chamois should be rinsed with clean water and completely wrung out.
- After each use, a chamois should be thoroughly washed with clean soapy water, rinsed, and wrung out repeatedly until clean. Hang it up away from direct sunlight to dry a chamois.

This has been the best shaped, best processed and best performance chamois I've ever had.The shape is close to rectangular making it much more utile than irregular prior chamois. The absorption is excellent helping to get the job done sooner and better. Also easier to wring out the collected water. This is an all around winner.

Perfect for nickel-chrome plated metal. I used the chamois on a dobro, and boy, did it do the job! I couldn't clean the metal with microfiber towels. This chamois does it perfectly, with a minimum of elbow grease. I absolutely recommend this product.

great size - soft and soaks up water well. I washed first, but still had flecks when drying the black soft tonneau cover of my truck. Washed again before trying again, and that seemed to fix the issue

I had a chamois decades ago and then came the wave of popularity around micro fiber.Problem with those crappy packs of cloths is that the second they fall on a dirty garage floor, it's trash.You have hundreds/thousands of pieces of debris in there that you'll never ever get out and if you use the cloth in that state, it will scratch up your paint!!! If you're already hand washing your car, you likely really care about it and don't want to scratch or swirl the paint at all..Now, some people have complained it's the wrong size. I hope (HOPE) that people realize this 5.7sq ft is not going to be a 5 and a half foot long towel. Mines is about 3ftx2ft or just a little under. which surprise is 5.5-6sq ft lol.It's exceptionally absorbent, I use it to dry my cars and they sparkle. Not a single bead of water left behind. No water spots, no lint, no scratches, just sparkling paint under clearcoat..I'm thinking about buying another for my kitchen. Wish they dyed them black sorta but whatever. Tan is fine..One note, like other reviews, make sure to give it a warm bath with some soap. There's a layer of oil on it to preserve it but the oil is a bit saturated. I used dawn dish soap. gave it some lather rubbing the chamois on itself and let it hang from my shower rod. It's soft, not oily and when it's dry I fold it and keep it in the original plastic bag it came in. Any 1gallon ziplock will work but I'll use the bag it came in until it breaks lol.Happy car drying!

I've had a few chamois over the years but this one seems a bit on the cheaper side. It left small particles of the cloth right away. I'd stick to better quality chamois cloths.

This product is described as being XL Mega size. It is actually way smaller, thinner and flimsier than the "normal" sized ones you can buy off the shelf in the cheap auto parts stores. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.
