This belt is perfect, I was worried about my 5 year old using a belt for the first time on his own for kindergarten. But this belt is easy to use and well made. I will be ordering the next size up for next year.

I got this belt for 11yo kid. He needed a dress belt for church outfits. This one looks really nice and it feels very sturdy. The opening mechanism was a bit different than other ratchet style belts. Most of my other belts has a level on the side that will release the ratchet. This one’s release is performed by lifting the face of the buckle. Its pretty self-intuitive. Overall it’s a nice belt that should last for a few years.

Little boys can put a lot of wear and tear on clothing in a short time. This is my son's every-day belt now because it's so easy to wear and to release. The leather, if that's what it is, also doesn't show scuffs and scrapes.

Never had a ratchet closure on a belt before, but once you figure it out, it's easy and convenient. A great belt. Nice appearance, hardware seems solid.
