The Chapin backpack sprayer is the best one I ever had, but when the pump seal failed (after 3 years of pretty harsh oil-based weed killer) I was bummed. Found this and it was a quick fix and I'm back up and running. Appreciate the manufacturer actually suppling quality replacement parts.

It's the perfect fit but should be designed with a better metal than cheap plastic that breaks.

I had a Chapin backpack sprayer that had the elbow link on the piston pump crack. Researching the possibility of mending the broken piece would have been cost and labor prohibitive. I found a replacement piston for half the cost of a factory replacement. It fit perfectly and I am able to get back to using my sprayer. While it is several years old it is still in excellent condition. The great thing is shipping was free and for customers living in Hawaii it is a God send. I can't say enough about Amazon, it's customer oriented policies and it's vendors. Just fantastic!

Holding up so far, bit a little pricey. Backpack sprayers take a beating on the farm. I have gone through several over the years, but they are handy. This piston gets a lot of action, and since it is plastic, it is going to wear out. Cheaper than a whole new sprayer, though. Simple installation. Back to work taking care of these weeds.
