Great light--and you can adjust since there are two lights. Great product.

We had a standing from the ground light for a few years but the wind kept knocking it over or we knocked it over when removing the cover from the grill. Then we used a flashlight and I hate holding that with one hand and turning items with the other. This clip on light is exactly the answer to being able to clip wherever it can go and direct the lights onto the grilling items. When not grilling i just store it underneath on the grill shelf. Now my husband will be getting his steaks medium rare again since i can finally see what i am doing.

I can understand why some of the reviewers gave this light a poor rating, as the build quality is not first rate. However, I'm also not expecting top quality for under $20 and I think some folks expect the world in everything, regardless of price. I purchased 3 of these to use as accent lighting for my jewelry displays at craft shows and they work excellent. I ran all of them for 2 days (8 hours each day) on a single set of batteries and the brightness never fluctuated. They are very bright and can light up things it total darkness about 10 feet way. While they worked great for my intended purposes, they do exhibit a few flaws, which is to be expected in their price range.First off, Amazon did not ship them in the factory boxes and they arrived in plain brown cardboard boxes...no big deal, just a heads up. There are no instructions for use or care but who cares? I think we all know how to install batteries, right? The first thing I noticed was that the screw that holds the clamp together is secured with a small nut on the end and it was a tad loose. No big deal...screwdriver to the rescue...done! Next, one of the light's flexible neck was not screwed into the base tight enough and about 3/4 of a turn fixed it. Again, no big deal and noting to raise my blood pressure over. The flexible neck is made of metal and does it's job pretty well, but does not always stay in position. This is because the light head assembly is just a hair to heavy for it. The issue is even more noticeable when hanging it upside down. It's not a deal breaker and a little movement here and there is needed to get the correct position. I found myself going a little past where I wanted it in order to leave room for the slack coming back a little.The base is just a huge clamp with a battery compartment built into it. It takes 3 AAA batteries and after installation they add some weight to the base. The battery compartment cover is not a rigid plastic and is on the softer side, making snapping into position a little loose. The battery cover never fell off but it would have been nice to have it fit a touch tighter. The jaws of the clamp are lined with a fairly thick type of traction rubber pad which does aid in grip and keeps it from marring the surface you attach it too....a nice feature. My biggest complaint with this light in the spring inside the clamp...it's just slightly on the weak side of life. When I first took them out of the box, I immediately tried clamping one to a door in my home, just above the door knob to see how strong it was. Needless to say is slowly slid off when empty and fell off very quickly with the added weight of the batteries. Now the clamps ARE strong enough to stay in position on a fairly level surface, but when fighting the force of gravity, their strength diminishes, even more so depending on the position of the light head.The light head assembly is also plastic and seems to be fair quality. Each light has 3 bright LED's with plastic chrome reflectors and finished off with a plastic lens. Each light rotates vertically 360 but they do not adjust horizontally, something I wish they would have done. They stay in position very well and are very easy to adjust. Just remember that there is a wire going to each light inside the housing and if you keep spinning them continuously it will wind up that wire inside and break the connection. They are made for small adjustments, so if you desire a radical adjustment, I would suggest twisting the flexible neck close to your desired position first and then adjust the lights accordingly.Overall, these lights are worth the price, as long as they stay under $20...there are better options for that kind of money. They are simple to use, very bright and have excellent battery life. Just be prepared to tighten a few things! Oh, and be careful! These are made of plastic and the heat from a BBQ can be a dangerous thing!

I wanted to like this product, but the plastic clamp broke. However, I was able to salvage the unit by gluing magnets to the base. The lights are pretty good.

Upon opening and putting batteries I noticed a bulb was out. It is not bright at all stay away

Just what I need for grilling in Chicago, in the winter, when the sun goes down at 4 - 4:30.Everything nice and tight, except for 1 small nut that I tightened up.The goose neck and clamp are fine, as are the lights. Everything stays in the place where I put them.It clamps on my porch railing just right, to light up my grill during Chicago winters

Very weak magnet. Kept fall off anything I put it from the weight of the light. Really disappointed

Bought it for the grill but my husband uses it for puzzles too.
