Works well. I used it when I cooked a turkey. Seems accurate. I like that it has the recommended temperatures on the cover. I would like to correct that poultry is at 165, not 180.

I boiled water and tested it right away. The temp was OK, but if you use it on a thinner price of meat it does not read correctly. The food you are taking the temperature of needs to be thick. All I can figure out is the tip of the thermometer is not sensitive enough.

Not accurate indicator. I used boiling water as a calibration point, and it was 10 degrees off. I do not recommend.

I bought this at the local discount dollar store. Used it the first time for steaks, cooking in the oven at 425°F. The glass on the front of the thermometer melted, might be plastic coating on front of thermometer, don't know, but it fogged up white and melted. Never seen that before.
