I use this anytime I'm making a potato dish that requires super smooth or whipped potatoes and it works amazing. Has provided me with the BEST mashed potatoes and twice baked potato fillings. Also amazing for making aligot...highly recommend for home chefs trying to upgrade their potato dish game! It's super durable and easy to clean, and overall easy to use (don't need to press too firmly to rice the potatos thoroughly)

I've purchased other rivers but they were difficult/painful to use or clean and always fell apart. This one works great! Easy to use, easy to clean and is very sturdy. It makes mashed potatoes so light and fluffy. It’s also the PERFECT ricer to make home made gnocchi. It’s a bit on the large size, so take that into account for storage.

Tried a bunch of Ricers and this was hands down THE BEST!Easy to use, easy to clean and of all the ricers I tried, this one left hardly any residue, so it riced almost the entire potato.Because of the way it's made, it doesn't take much pushing to rice the whole potato.Plus, the part the you put the potato in is metal and easily removeable, so super easy to clean.I cut the potato in half and do each half separately and the mashed (riced) potatoes come out fluffy and wonderful!

I bought with with a little trepidation. Would I really use it or would it just take up space?I'm happy to say it is used a lot. Ricing potatoes must force air into them as nothing tastes so smooth and creamy. I boil the potatoes with cloves of garlic, then rice it all together with milk and butter. Yummy! Even DH who found mashed potatoes boring is now licking out the pan!I also found that you can squeeze every last drop of juice out of lemons with this ricer. Just cut them in half and squeeze away.I originally bought it make spaetzle noodles but haven't got around to trying this yet. The spring mechanism is such that you wouldn't hurt your hands like with some ricers. Will post when I try it.Very easy to clean. Takes some room to store but well worth it. Pricier than some ricers but great quality.

Al realizar el prensado el pistón no queda paralelo a la canasta. Si al eje del pistón prensa ,se lo desplazara 10 milÃmetros ( en su mismo eje)hacia la parte trasera o manijas,se conseguirÃa que el pistón llegara lo más cerca a la canasta con agujeros y fuera paralelo , logrando un buen prensado o empuje. Easy to squeeze whole unpeeled cooked potatoes through with minimal next to no effort. I actually found it fun to use.If potato skin builds up in ricer basket, easy to scoop out. 99.9% of time skin would stick to presser part and I would just scrap off every now and then, although I probably could have just left until I finished. Some potato mash remnant would remain on inner edge of stainless steel cup but nothing that mattered or wouldn't push through when putting next potato through. This ricer is quick and easy to wash. I just rinsed straight after finishing. Balancing the ricer while open with presser up while I grabbed a potato to put in it was a little tricky. There's probably an art to it I don't know about, but I just leaned the top handle on something sitting on bench to balance it. I did need to fully open it out to flip the presser up to put the next potato in, so balancing the top handle while I did this just made things flow better. Seems durable and sturdy. Decent size and easy to store in draw next to Mandolin slicer.I've never owned a ricer before, so I can't compare to other ricers but I'm happy with this ricer.
