This product works and definitely great to have around with pets. I accidentally clipped the cats nail really short and this stopped the bleeding. It took a lil bite of time and extreme patience because the cat is borderline wild. I think if it were just a lil close may only one dap and worked. But with a wild cat that doesn't like to be held let alone nail clippings and cutting quite a bit nail off this saved the day from going to the weekend animal hospital. I highly recommend this product with pets because you never know and good to have part of a pet first aid kit. I don't think it is very expensive for a small container to have on hand.If is easy to use. The seller took care in sending and arrived sooner than expected, definitely recommend as a pet owner. The size of container is perfect I just tapped my finger and then kind packed in in nail the best I could with a fighting cat.

This is an excellent product. It is the correct consistency powder to do what it is suppose to do. It is not too yellow (stains coats). It clings to the nail and stops bleeding fast. I have used others and I’m very pleased with this product.

it works when you clip your pets nails and they bleed put a little septic powder on it and it stops bleeding right away. Great stuff pets tend to push in pull their paws when you are clipping their nails and sometimes an accident happens.

My little dog hates his nails cut and I was letting the vet cut them. I decided I was going to put him up in a hammock type contraption so he wouldn’t try to bite me. Well I didn’t have any styptic and his back nail started bleeding and wouldn’t stop. I went into panic mode and read to use flour. Right away I decided I would be prepared the next time with the right stuff. I ordered this styptic and I didn’t have to use it for awhile but my dog has very short quick and i did end up having to use it. It worked great!

Came just as expected! It is a necessity when you have dogs and trim their nails at home. I have 2 dogs and one of them I recently rescued that has really long nails and long quicks that I am trying to get to recede by carefully grinding them down each day. But there is a risk of cutting the quick which isn’t much of a big deal but having this on hand to stop the bleeding almost immediately by just dabbing some on the end of the nail helps the dog to not have a bad association with getting their nails done. Helps relieve pain from nicking the quick which is a blood vessel in the center of the nail. Easy to use just pinch a little bit and press onto the bottom of the nail! Got this on sale! Great value for the money! Really can’t go wrong getting a basic Styptic Powder but this one is definitely the most cost effective.

If you have a dog, you should definitely have stypic powder! It your dog gets a minor cut (not requiring a vet visit), you can a bit of the stypic powder to the wound with some pressure to instantly stop the bleeding. I keep it on hand because I trim my 75lb retrievers nails at home, and sometimes I accidently cut the nail to short and then it bleeds....and I mean, it bleeds rapidly. I grab a piece of paper towel, put a small around of stypic powder in the center, and then apply the powder against the wound with pressure for about 30-45 seconds. When I remove the paper towel, the bleeding has pretty much stopped and begun to clot with the stypic powder. It is not harmful to dogs, but you have to try and prevent your dog from licking the wound, which could undo your nursing abilities.

We had a bleeding paw..it was really bleeding. Took damp paper towel with a bit of product and set it on wound for a very short 4 second and the bleeding stopped. So happy we have this.

The insurance you hope to never have to use.I am reviewing this in hopes of never using it. I could have done with a small vial for a budgie bird but for price point, in Amazon choices, this huge quantity was sadly "the deal" when making comparisons both online and locally. My budgie has so little blood, I have to react immediately. Trimming nails or beak. Both have blood lines.I assume it works well and originally was considering buying a pencil and grinding it to a powder myself.Being the first time using it for my small bird, I wanted to make sure, so I bought this HUGE tub. I can just dip him in! lolI would never do that. Jk.
