I've tried electric clippers and various scissors to remove large mats from my older long haired cat. Nothing comes close to these. They are sharp to cut through thick mats but curved and blunt tip forsafety. I am still careful to make sure she is not cut, Mat removal is much more pleasant for both of us.They appear to be of very high quality.
