Very happy with these units, range has been good, I’m using 5-7 receivers at a time & have no issues with them.

Very impressed. Should have done this sooner. Had a power surge in my system a while back that fried 4 moving head lights. If I would have had these, I might have lost only 2 of them since now lights are all isolated to the group behind each receiver. This is as cost effective as buying cables, without the headaches of breaking and having to solder/repair numerous DMX cable leads. Makes set up and take down a breeze too. No batteries to mess with via a wall warts supplied for each unit. Just go to the hardware store and pick up a multi-plug for each station to handle the extra plug and you're golden. Less cabling around the stage makes for a cleaner set-up too. All in all, a great investment to improve lighting control systems. Simply works!!!

These don't have batteries but that was my mistake. I simply bought some cables that will split the power for my lights (and fog machine) to include a regular outlet as well as the one for the light. These things worked great. No lag that I was able to notice.. Easy setup. Worth the price in cables alone!!!

I put one transmitter and 5 receivers into my church's Worship center. I was a little scared of wireless for our services, but there were some spots where it made a lot more sense to run wireless then have cables out to trip over. These have worked GREAT! I love them. We use 2 universes of DMX right now (moving to a third soon), so I am back to order another pack of them for our 2nd U and soon be back to order for the 3rd U!YES they have to be plugged in... A lot of light have a female IEC on the back... buy a male IEC to female 3 prong and power them that way or put a cube tap in where you are already plugging you lights into for power.

I am an amateur when it comes to this type of technology but I needed something to control my DMX flame machines (2) single and (2) triple without all the long wires. I connected the transmitter to the DMX 512 controller and the receivers to the flame machines. Long wires would have made it much more complicated. Made setting up for my one day event easy. The range from the flame machines to the controller was no more than 200 feet. Worth the purchase.

Update: I was previously having strange behaviour when testing it, but since testing it again it seems to be working perfectly. I may have done something weird, or i may have been in an area with high interference, but these now seem to work great and as advertised!Previous review:When changing many values across the universe for every DMX frame, and updating around 44Hz, the perfomance seems to really suffer, performing no better than around 4/5Hz, and dropping many frames. When doing intricate fading chasers this really has a negative effect on how it looks, very choppy. This happened even when the receiver and transmitter were right next to one another

I was a little concerned with interference from other devices and the wireless transmitter we have running on another area of the club. No issues at all. Used these at the start of my cable runs around the club. Distances ranged from 20 feet to 100 feet. Not once did we have any issues. Our main event hosted over 900 people in the building, with all those smartphones I was worried about spectrum issues, and never once did we have a problem. Highly recommend
