Forget those flimsy comic book do-das you see on Pinterest or YouTube....this is where it is at! Much heavier/studier. I use plastic alligator clips to hold the fabric and use stick-on labels for current measurement on the fabric and organize fabric by content and color. This is my third and last time! You are reading a review of someone who has OCT (obsessive-compulsive traits), who wants to see what fabric I have at a glance, and not have to dig up things…AT ALL. Have you looked for fabric you know you have only to make a huge mess costing time to reorganize (or not) later? That’s me! I know I have it, its just a matter of finding it. The time I waste is literally hours I could be sewing, so I need to have my fabric always organized. This is one of the most annoying aspects of my being…the inability to find things I know I have!I don't remotely have the money for the plastic 'official' fabric storage deals. I mean come on; who wouldn't love those things? It would literally cost me hundreds of dollars to use these for fabric organization and I prefer to spend my money on other things. My first fore into fabric storage was using foam board from the dollar store I cut up. I found it way too labor-intensive and inconsistent sizing and a pain in the hands and ran out of gas and patience after a few days! (Found this on YouTube, seemed to work for them). I do not have just 50 pieces of fabric, otherwise, that might be OK. I have 5 full-sized bookcases full. I want to quilt and/or sew, not spend my life organizing fabric. And come one...I buy more fabric and need to consistently put the stuff away if I am not going to use it straight away! I want something I can grab and use NOW to keep up a habit of fabric organization up. Cutting after measuring and then putting the fabric on foam and then having to clean up the mess afterward that the foam makes? So not happening! I clean enough. I do not need something that’s supposed to save me time, giving me other things to do that take literally more time! One would think I would have been intelligent enough to think of these ‘cons’ to foam board prior to my quest...but I'm not perfect, just way too optimistic about how easy and fast I can be. I’m obviously also just a bit delusional (along with my OCT). As my husband (the psychiatrist), tells me: "Mental illness takes many forms." Indeed it does.Once I found my foam experiment disastrous (later that same week), I tried file folders. They are consistent in size and have more stability than those comic book do-das and I had a TON of those! I mean, I didn't have to buy any...so free. Tom Peterson used to say, "Free is a VERY good price," in all his advertisements. It is. But....they were too flimsy for me, but heavier than comic books. I did finish my fabric with these, but found I had to lay them down one file on top of another. I literally had a ‘pile’ of pink fabric, a pile of blue fabric, and so on. This meant I ultimately had to dig for things, and I abhor doing that! That said, it was easier to do than foam, but did not give me what I wanted. That said, while I was unhappy with this arrangement over the last two years, its what I had. I kept up my search for an alternative. After acknowledging a couple of months ago that once again my fabric was disorganized and still not the way I wanted it; and I still lacked the funds for the fancy plastic organizers, I finally thought about using chipboard. I have never worked with it before, so it's no wonder it never occurred to me. One day after watching sewing room organization videos and doing some reading and seeing the same results I despaired of coming up with anything that would really work for me that was reasonably affordable.I also use a Sizzix machine/dies, I was looking at chipboard and paper during the same night (multitasking at its best). While looking at chipboard prices and sizes, and it occurred to me that this might work for fabric organization too. It was cheaper than cardboard and foamboard by far, sturdy, and of consistent size. Then I saw chipboard came in various weights like paper. I ‘Googled’ what this meant and decided the 50 weight would probably work the best for my needs, even though it came only in one size that was affordable. You can go to various web sites and get things in whatever size you want, but then you are back to the plastic fabric holder/organizer prices. What would be the point of that?!They certainly have not disappointed me. Online this product gives the biggest bang for the buck, very consistent sizing, and will fit dang near any bookcase while holding my fabric in an upright position! Yeah. I’d pin a picture, but as I’m not finished, my OTC trait is kicked up and won’t do that until my project is completed. So sorry. I’m so glad I was ‘inspired’ by thinking of this option. I chose the quilting subject line, hoping you would be helped as well. Kelly

I'm using this for templating out non-uniform shapes for construction/art projects. It's very uniform across the sheets and glues well to itself with hot glue. Will definitely be getting more in the future, though for now I have enough.

I bought these for the backs of notepads and I'm not disappointed. I will be buying from this seller again and as long as they continue to sell this product.

I wasn't sure how these would work, but they made my life much easier when creating covers for my junk journals. They are very sturdy, but my cutter goes through easily.

I purchased this a couple years ago and I am just catching up on leaving feedback. This Chipboard has a horrible smell to it. I thought if I removed it from the shipping box it would air out, Nope! You name it, I have tried it and it still smells horrible (almost a sour smell).Even when covered you can smell this chipboard. Please be aware when purchasing this item.

I've only used 1 or 2 pieces and it seemed fine. The corners weren't bent on the ones I could see and the thickness is perfect. I also like that they came in a box, instead of plastic wrapped, so I can just keep them all together.

It was thinner than I had expected but it was my first time buying chipboard. They do let you know the thickness in the description though. Even though the box was a bit beat up from shipping, the chipboard was good inside. Pretty good price for the quantity you get.
