I thought my cats would love this because their favorite toy (of MANY) is basically a long colorful cord on a stick, so I thought they'd love this toy with its trailing yarn. They do enjoy playing with these balls, but not as much as I expected. They like to pick them up and carry them around. But they don't tug at and play with the trailing cord as much as I expected, and they're not one of their go-to toys. They seem unsure how to play with it, and I guess I am too! These balls are very well made and you get several per pack so they're well worth the money. Very colorful. Cats are just, well, quirky, and what they don't love today, they might go nuts for tomorrow, and vice versa! I'll hold onto them and reintroduce them, and next time they might love them. With cats you never can tell!

The tail of these is easily bitten off and can become a problem if your cat eats inappropriate things. Mine don’t, however my daughters two cats eat ANYthing and this could become a real problem

While my cats loved playing with them, one of my cats (who usually doesn't chew up toys), chewed off part of the tail and swallowed 9 inches of it. Luckily, I was still awake and able to take him to the vet at 2AM. They induced vomiting and he threw it up whole. From now on, I will read the 1-star ratings for cat toys, because I see a poor kitty, didn't make it from doing the exact same thing. =(

These are nice because the cat thinks she is playing with a ball of yarn. She has been playing with this for almost a month now, and they are not unraveling. I've even stepped on them and they hold up!
