Best chipping hammer ever! Only improvement could be a wooden handle but this will last forever.

Super light weight. (bought other popular expensive brand, was to heavy and uncomfortable.)This feels great in my hand. (I like to streamline my equipment. I saw this laying around the shop my friend left, I started using it and liked it so much immediately went and bought one.)love weight the proportion. It just feels nice and it's very light. how heavy does your hammer have to be to hammer slag? also like it being light so I can just toss it into my bucket. I really regret spending $35-$40 and change on the other slag hammer I bought.

Ok, so on the surface, this thing does look cheaply made. However I am a union ironworker/welder and I beat the crap out of this thing. I'm on my second one. The first one i broke beating nelson studs (didn't realize the body was tube steel) It's a little on the lighter side which I don't really like but the blade and point hold up better to the abuse than an Estwing. I weld almost every day and for the most part I do like this little chipper but to each their own.

I've been a welder/mechanic journeyman in the boilermakers union for 22 yrs. I've been using this slag pick/chipping hammer for over a year now for chipping slag from my welds. It's titanium, extremely hard and very lightweight. The point and edges are still good after a year of heavy use. The rubber handle makes it easy to grip and comfy to use, similar to a golf club. I've used this tool as a chisel, prybar, hammer, wedge and a bull pin with no issues. This tool is practically indestructible. I'd recommend this tool to anyone, you won't be disappointed.

A great price for a low vibration, durable, ergonomic welding/chipping hammer. Perfect for removing rust, slag etc. Also I don't like the coiled metal handle on most other welding hammers, this is so much more comfy. 10 stars.
