These went together with only some minor trouble. One of my images shows a glob of metal / paint that was caked onto the threads of one of the spools. It took some pliers to get it off, and the threads were undamaged, so I could use the product as intended. The sleeve or container that the spools go in seems to be made of very thin material, similar to a cheap tent or a cheap collapsible chair shoulder sling container. As long as you're careful with it and don't slide it around or sling it by the handles too often, it should hold up just fine. It definitely stands out and makes finding your spool of lights easy! The spools themselves are quite solid and they do the job admirably. They'll hold up better than the plastic (or sometimes cardboard) spools you'll get your lights on, which is exactly what a product like this should do.I was able to transfer three spools worth of lights (C7) from my older (admittedly larger, plastic spools) to these spools with a little room to spare. Fully loaded, the package was still light enough to move around and didn't feel like it was putting too much stress on the handle.Overall a solid investment if you have lots of Christmas lights, and an especially good replacement for cardboard (or loose) strands of lights.

I ordered this Christmas light storage system in hope of improving our approach to storing Christmas decorations. My old approach to storing Christmas lights was to individually seal each string of lights in a gallon Ziplock bag and then place those in a large Rubbermaid bin for storage. This approach was effective in keeping the strings from tangling with each other, but it was a bit of a PITA to get all the lights into the bags. Enter the Edsrdus storage bag. This bag comes with three spools and a large bag to store the spools in. Assembly of the spools was simple (even without instructions) and required no tools to complete. I was able to roll up all of our exterior lights and our Christmas tree lights on two of the spools by rolling up a string and then connecting the next string to one already on the spool to roll it up. I was able to get several hundred feet of lights on two of the spools. On the third spool, I rolled up a set of my wife's large programmable lights. I love that all three spools fit neatly into the provided storage bag and zipped shut easily (why can't tent manufacturers make bags large enough to accommodate the tent easily?). Using this bag, I can store all of our Christmas lights in half of the shelf space and get rid of another Rubbermaid bin. That is a win-win in my book. This is an elegant solution to a frustrating problem.

Metal spools offers durability and protection for lights in storage. No major assembly required, the bag is folded for shipping. Easy to put together. Snug, secure fit. Zipper seems efficient but time will tell. These types of products, zippers have always tore away from the fabric (other brands). Three spools hold plenty of line. The whole case is not that large so storage will not require much space. Fairly inexpensive for the use. Keep your decor lights organized.

This Christmas Light Storage Reel Set is a functional and convenient solution for keeping holiday lights organized and tangle-free, but the build quality leaves something to be desired. The metal spools provide ample storage, easily holding 375 mini bulbs or 250 C-size bulbs, and the durable Oxford fabric bag helps protect lights from dust and damage. The tangle-free design makes winding and unwinding effortless, saving time during setup and takedown. However, the welding and alignment of parts aren’t the best, making the overall durability questionable for long-term use. While it works well for seasonal storage, it’s not the kind of heirloom-quality piece that will last generations. At this price point, it’s a decent value, but expect functional, not premium, construction.

The older system we've been using consisted of flat plastic frames for winding. They hung from the edges of a ridged box like hanging file folders. It was a good system, but took up a large fixed volume. In this system the metal reels mostly protect the lights; so the bag doesn't need to be rigid. The result is good protection in no more space than is necessary. I was able to leave one reel unassembled and still store all the lights from a very full seven foot tree. Roll up was easy and a quick check suggests that getting them off next year will be easier than it was this year with the old flat frames.

This is a great way to organize those lights so that it's not a web of confusion next year. It nice that these are metal and not plastic. They hold a goodly amount of lights, I guess depending on they type and size you have. The bag for them is fantastic, and the red helps it stand out from other items in storage. It's a sturdy bag and should last. The only thing I gave a 4 instead of 5 is it would be nice to have handles that fold out to roll up lights more easily. Instead, I had to interlace my fingers in the spool and it is cumbersome. Everything fits so neatly in the bag.
