The pens are filled with brilliant color and bleed and blend exactly as they should. I have been creating art for years with the best brands for professional artists in the world. I never use student products, even in my sketch books because I can't trust them to be lightfast or to work as a quality product would. The results you get vary greatly and can mislead the development of good habits. This is the best product in it's class. No ink is permanent or lightfast. Only pigment based products are. Never the less, I had a friend suggest I try them for some detail work on a sketch. I had heard about another brand of watercolor "Clean Brush Pens," and thought they were misleading in many ways and they are. They are also way, way over priced. These pens however, are Exactly what they say they are at a Very Low Price Point and LOADED with Legitimate Extras. They should have taken the lead in the art community long ago. The pens are watercolor like inks, and say so. No misdirects with this brand. The key is that they actually work like watercolor. And you can learn techniques and create pieces the correct way, using a brush pen...... Their instructional videos are great! You only have to fill the included set of 4 water brushes and you can take them anywhere and work confidently at sketches and designs. You do receive a pad of sketched out pieces on good quality paper and videos of the correct way to use the pen. And, they do tell you that like any other skill, you need to practice....even seasoned artists. But practicing with these is Fun! They will help you develop and eye for detail as well as creating lovely washes. You should be very, very happy with this set and this company!

We are so lucky to have found all these amazing items for sale from Japan on Amazon! I can't thank Amazon enough for providing such great products. This purchase was definitely one of the best I've made from you guys. The colors are so vibrant and the prices are much lower compared to similar products from Japan. Although I haven't had them for long, I can already tell that the ink quality and lightfastness of the pigment are top-notch. The colors are so rich and with the waterbrush included (which is usually an extra purchase with other products), they are a joy to work with. I highly recommend them!

Includes the 108 pens, 15 pad scrapbook, and online video tutorials, plus 5 aqua pens all in a nice carry case. Did have an issue with first order in that the case zipper came apart and would not go back together so I called Amazon for a replacement which arrived with a free shipping return at UPS. The pens are comfortable to hold and produce wonderful bright colors and the water brushes help smooth and blend the colors as they are placed on the paper. Excellent set and the review stays at 5 stars due totals the speed of replacement and trouble free return.

These watercolor brush pens blend so easily and so well. I had purchased two relatively cheap sets to see if this was something I could be interested in. I was happy with those until I came across a Chromatek tutorial video on YouTube and saw how these pens blended without leaving any brush strokes. I was dazzled! I purchased the 50 count set and was not disappointed!They blend effortlessly, have a beautiful assortment of colors and the tutorials and tutorial pad are fantastic!I recommend these brush pens to beginners, novice artists and experienced artists alike. They also seem like they will be quite durable. None were dried out.

These watercolor brush pens are perfect for me. I’ve never been very successful at watercolor or any other kind of painting. I’m messy and I don’t like to deal with a lot of supplies that need to be cleaned up afterwards. These pens are clean and ready to go. You get plenty of paper to watch all your colors. The tutorials are excellent. They’ll get you on your way. I could take this kit anywhere. I love it and I will buy it again.

I have been wanting to take up water coloring as a midnight hobby when the kids are asleep. The markers intrigued me so had to give it a go.Although I probably enjoy watercolors out of a tube more, these were fun to work with and seem fairly easy to travel with.What I didn't like is that for the most part, it's easier to "draw" the marker on a pallete and use the water brush to move the marker ink from the pallette to the paper rather than draw right on the paper and introduce water.Both methods work, but give very different results. I'm in no way an expert and just decided to try these, aside from that, I picked up a watercolor set for the kids years back and made a couple drawings but that's it.I liked that it came with a notepad to practice with. I didn't realize that it came with already pre-drawn practice objects, which was a really nice touch, but I ended up free handing a pear and jelly fish before I realized the first 2 pages were blank and the rest were for practice.I'm excited to practice and perfect the techniques they teach on YouTube.Overall, great set to play with, has its pros and cons but I don't regret getting them at all. I look forward to taking it with me on mini getaways so I can practice painting whatever catches my eye!It's also very easy to care for and maintain.

Chromatek is a fantastic company & well, they know it. Their site is quite frank about that, stating their watercolor pens (& Glitter pens) are THE best ANYWHERE in the world. Annnnnd well, they're right! These are FANTASTIC!!! The second I used this set (bought during Prime Days Yay!) I was in love. These are NOT for your coloring books people! Nor cheap paper (go with a pad of Canon XL WC paper, 16$ here on Amazon). These are made to paint with, using water- period. I would suggest you have some experience working with watercolor before buying these since they're a technical tool & also an investment. The colors are SO GORGEOUS & SO PIGMENTED! The brush tips are wonderfully made & the ink behaves abso stunningly. You can lay down color & tease the ink with the included water brushes to create some amazing results. I even managed to create washes, layers & blends on my 1st try. I have several sets of high end watercolor pens, pans & pencils like Faber Castell, Tombow, Inktense etc and these beat them all hands down. It's honestly like working with something brand new to the art supply world! Like your pans of watercolors but somehow way better. You might expect a small learning curve.. I'm a home artist with a few yrs of art & painting experience & after watching the tutorials, I was totally set. They're very well done, step by step. On top of the dozens of free tutorials, you get free paper & pre-printed scenes to paint, free water pens, free viewing of all their videos, free template downloads etc etc. I got a good deal on Prime Day but def wish I'd scored the 100 count set just because the colors are so beautiful & they work so well. A solid 10/10!!!! And if you are into coloring books, drawing, art etc like me, try their Gel pens. They are THE BEST too- Chromatek beats Sakura Gelly Rolls completely. The ink is like liquid crystals. I left a 10/10 review on that product page as well. Absolutely worth it, I can't recommend this company enough!!

I have tried sooooo many different brands of these watercolour pens, & have had a distinct favourite for a long time now.... Then, I received these pens today & every other one Uve ever tried, pales by comparison.These pebs are far superior which is evident from thr very first stroke of the pens! So beautiful to hold, smoothe & so extraordinarily easy to use.....Tge company also provides a book and online tutorials which are AMAZING! I didn't know til I got these that I actually have never really known or been made aware of how tgey are supposed to be used....the tutorials REALLLLLY HELP & are soooo user friendly....I will never purchase ANY OTHER BRAND THAN THESE EVER AGAIN.Thank you soooo much ..

Muy buena presentación y al usarlo se ve la buena calidad. Lindos colores y al ponerle el agua da buenos efectos de acuarela, quedando mejor esos efectos si se usa papel para acuarela.

As a first time user of watercolour pens, I was very pleased with firstly the quality of the pens, then secondly, just how easy they are to use and create some wonderful effects! I started with the tutorial pad that was included in the 54 pen set, and after watching the videos on You Tube, I was painting along Bob Ross style, and was very pleased with the outcome. Yes, they will take some practise to get the best out of them, but for a beginner like me, it was certainly encouraging.The 54 pen set has a plethora of colours, including some lovely muted tones. You can achieve some very fine detail with the pens, the paint flows nicely from them no matter how thin or thick. The 4 brushes that are included work very well too, a simple idea of holding water in the brush rather than dipping into a water bowl.I had a couple of questions and contacted Chromatek direct, their response was quick, as well as very friendly and encouraging, great customer service indeed!If you are thinking of treating yourself to some watercolour pens, then stop thinking and get these! You’ll be amazed at how creative they make you feel!
