I recently visited Tokyo and didn’t have a bag, it was problematic, as I bought things and had to pawn them to my travel mates to carry. In light of that trip I picked this up because I have another trip coming up and wanted a small pack to carry a few items in everywhere we will be venturing. I didn't want anything bulky and was in love with the seatbelt style buckle. I had been eyeing these for some time and decided to pull the trigger. It seems like the perfect bag to take my personal items on the plane, and to have the items I need while out and about on the trip. It’s just the right size, the style is good, the strap is comfortable and stable, all around it seems well thought out.Update:In preparation for an upcoming trip I have been testing this as a bag for some of my camera kit, I am able to put 3 Lowepro lens pouches containing some prime lenses, and a peak design travel tripod in the main compartment, and stick a few filters and a card reader in the front compartment, I can walk around town with a solid kit provided I keep the camera body around my neck by the strap. I’m pretty happy with that since it’s relatively low profile, and feels secure to carry.

Great sling bag for riding your bike around town. Big enough for an 11-inch iPad or similar-sized tablet or notebooks or similar. I use it to carry that stuff, my phone, snacks and other bits and bobs. You also can carry a moderate amount of other stuff when you loosen the straps on the underside. Not a full-sized messenger bag, though, so this should not be scored on that basis.Chrome's awesome seatbelt buckle means you can strap and unstrap this bag without having to lift it over your helmeted head -- huge convenience. The sling style means you can sweep it around on your body to get stuff out or put it away much more quickly and conveniently than a backpack, all while keeping the bag on. The stabilizer strap that hooks under your left arm keeps the bag stable on your back while you're riding.The Kadet loses a star, for me anyway, because its zippers are fussy, especially on the big compartment; I spend a lot of time fighting them to get into the bag or close it up. Also I wish this bag had more internal organization: more pen loops, little internal pockets and so on. Also here's a strange one for you: it has an internal leash which comes with a D-ring, but no carabiner or plastic hook, as on other bags, to attach your keys. You need to supply your own little carabiner (I got a Nite Ize from the hardware store) to make the key leash work.These are all small points and if we're lucky Chrome will make a v2 that addresses them all. Chrome also likely would argue that if you don't want to fuss with zippers in a bag of this style, there are others with simpler flaps that are quicker to get into and out of. Bottom line: none of this is a reason not to get the Kadet. If you are looking for something bigger than a hip pack but smaller than a conventional messenger bag, this one owns that niche. I use mine every day.

Used it for my 10 day trip to Japan and absolutely loved it. Great size to carry wallet passport umbrella, ETC. would absolutely recommend this bag.

The quality of Chrome bags continue with this Kadet sling. Worth the price as these will last. Absolutely durable and well made that can carry whatever I can stuff into it. It will be my carryall for years and years to come.

The bag is high quality and fits everything I need. I wanted to like this so bad, but it just doesn't work for all body types. If you have a big chest, even with the additional support strap it'll likely slide up into your elbow and the top part will dig into your neck.

I've used Bellroy, Alpaka, and Tomtoc slings with smaller sizes and Chrome Kadet is the first bigger sized one for me and already loving it! I really like all the other ones but my biggest issue with them is that they cannot stay in place on my back or front no matter how an adjust the straps. This one pretty much stays in place even without using the stablizer strap. Really dig the stablizer strap also!

chrome industries è sinonimo di garanzia. il kadet 9 litri merita tutti i soldi spesi: fantastico sling, molto capiente, poco pesante. unica pecca (per me che ho anche il kadet max) è la mancanza del "seatbelt buckle" ( il marchio di fabbrica Chrome).per il resto, consigliatissimo a chi cerca qualcosa di veramente originale

It is comfortable if your load is around 2kg and try to tighten it closer to your body but not to the extend to restrict your movement, just close enough. When you swing it to the front to access your load inside, the zip tend to have difficulty closing if you unzip all the way down, I usually stop just before the curve and the mouth is generally big enough to access my water bottle or a book. Hope that helps
